I’ve spent over 12 years working professionally in veterinary medicine (emergency and critical care, surgery, anesthesia, recovery, and everything in between) and I genuinely love every bit of it. Give me a nervous senior pup, a giant breed who thinks they’re a lapdog, or a dog who just needs a little extra patience, and I’m in my element. I’m comfortable giving medications, caring for senior and special-needs pets, keeping an eye out for anything that seems off, and staying calm and steady with animals who are scared or stressed. To me, making an animal feel safe is just as important as taking care of everything on the checklist. But honestly, my love for animals started long before my career did. I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life, and these days that includes my own Greater Swiss Mountain Dog — so big and giant breeds have a very special place in my heart! I know it’s a big deal to hand your pet over to someone else, and my goal is always to make that handoff feel easy for both of you. Tell me your routine and I’ll follow it to the letter. In return, you’ll get plenty of updates, photos, and probably too many exclamation points, because I really do love this stuff. Whether your pet needs extra patience, medication, a long walk, couch cuddles, or someone who understands that their “weird little thing” is actually very important, I’m here for it. 🐾

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is always my first priority. With 12 years of veterinary experience, I’m very comfortable reading animal body language, handling nervous or fearful pets, administering medications, and recognizing when something seems different from a pet’s normal behavior. I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes, harnesses, feeding instructions, and any household routines you have in place. When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I want everything to feel as familiar and low-stress as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely, respect your home, and never force interaction with a pet who needs time or space. If anything concerns me while you’re away, you’ll hear from me — I’d always rather communicate too much than leave you wondering.

Schedule
I’m currently in graduate school, which gives me flexibility outside of my class hours for walks, drop-ins, evenings, weekends, and house sitting. I’m very comfortable working around established feeding, medication, potty, and exercise schedules (if your dog expects breakfast at 7:02 AM, I understand that 7:15 is simply unacceptable 😂). I’ll always be upfront about my availability before booking so you know exactly what to expect.

- I’d love to know your pet’s normal routine, feeding schedule, medications, exercise needs, favorite activities, and any quirks that help them feel comfortable. Please also tell me about any medical conditions, allergies, mobility concerns, fears, reactivity, escape tendencies, resource guarding, or situations they find stressful. I also like to know how they normally behave on walks, around other dogs or people, and what cues or training methods you use at home. There is absolutely no judgment; the more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy.
