About Melanie C.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
Having a open line of communication is important to know what the owner expects from you. Asking about the pets behavior when you first approach a home is very important. Where the pet should be and not be. Being cautious of opening any door, and being respectful of your surroundings at all times. The first line of trust and safety comes from me opening that door confidently that I can care for that pet the best way I can.
Information Melanie C. would like to know about your pet
Aggressive behavior, aggressive attacks, allergies, history of disruptive behavior, are they hard pullers while walking, will they run out a open door, do they have separation anxiety, food aggressions, how will they act if they are confronted with an off-leash dog in the neighborhood, how will they act if a stranger approaches them, is there a type of person they react to (men, children, etc)
A typical day
Firstly, you have to know what the dog’s limitations are. Depending on what is needed form the owner, a long walk is sometimes best to let energy out! Some dogs need a back yard stretch and break. Some dogs need toy stimulation and chewing to keep them engaged. All dogs love a little extra TLC no matter what you’re doing with them.

Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs big and small my whole life, including cats. Family and friends have relied on my help through out the years. Walking, feeding, playing, basic care needs- I will get it done. Being there for the animal is number one. I go into a clients home, minding my business and care for their animal. You can trust me with your animal because I know animals are a extended part of your family. They need to be cared for and respected, along with the client.
Reviews

Very thankful for Melanie…always dependable and does an excellent job.

Melanie took excellent care of our two cats, one who is elderly with kidney disease. She provided pictures and updates which really eased my mind when I had to go out of town. She also played with our young rambunctious cat! We will definitely book with her again when the need arises.

Melanie was Great. She took good care of our dog, Ruby while we were away. We will definitely use Melanie next time we go out of town.

Great job as always!! The girls really like Melanie!!
