Hi, my name is Melanie! I am currently accepting repeat clients and new cat (or other small animal) clients only. I have officially been working with animals for 25 years. In addition to having my own dogs and cats, I've worked for a dog groomer/breeder/boarding kennel owner (I was the sole caretaker for her kennel while she was away at shows and on vacations). I managed and lived onsite at a large (100+) alpaca farm. I am a college graduate with a degree in recreation and wildlife and backcountry horsemanship. I have held various jobs working with horses, cows and goats. I have also worked for the National Park Service with sea turtles in Texas. If necessary, I am able to administer daily medications including checking blood sugar and giving insulin shots. I'm active and love to play, walk or simply cuddle with my client's pets. Whatever your pet(s) require is what I provide. I don't shy away from other types of animals that may also need care while you're away. My goal is to make everyone involved 100% comfortable. I will also water indoor/outdoor plants, grab your mail/packages and take the garbage and recycling bins out on trash day if asked.
