Giant Breed Friendly! I could bore you with details of my childhood and how many dogs my family owned growing up, which is A LOT, but I think what matters most is how I have interacted with dogs and cats in the more recent past. I have been a proud dog mom since my freshman year of college and have owned at least one dog ever since (16 years). Beyond being a dog mom, I have helped train service dogs, fostered rescues, volunteered at animal shelters, and have been the go-to to watch friend's dogs. I cannot imagine a life or a home without a dog in it. My experience runs the gambit with exposure to different breeds and life stages. I have owned a newfie, watched a miniature dachshund, managed to walk two huskies and two other dogs successfully, and grew up with reactive german shepherds- so not much scares me, I feel pretty equipped. Currently, I have a pup named Hambone who is happy to socialize, if that is of interest to you, or I am happy to entertain your pups alone. I work from home in the Cap Hill neighborhood so my schedule is flexible to stop in for walks as necessary. If you have any other questions, dont hesitate to ask! Looking forward to helping out.

My place is dog friendly and I am happy to have a dog stay with us. There is plenty of room with areas for dogs to play, nap, and everything in between! I'm a straight shot down 12th to Cheeseman park which makes for excellent walks. Hambone, my pup, is very friendly and would love to host a new friend if needed.

Rocky loves Melanie and Hambone so much! He's always so excited to see them and sad to leave them when it's time to head home. This trip was our longest time away from him and we were at ease knowing he was in good hands. He has such a fun time playing with Ham and I know he gets lots of love from Melanie! She sent photos and videos throughout his stay so that we could see how great a time he was having. We appreciate them so much!!
Hands down one of the best dog sitters ever!! This is my first time using a rover in the Denver area and I don’t want to use anyone else but Melanie! She is incredibly thorough, detailed, thoughtful and so sweet! She sends lots of updates and photos! I have no doubt that my dog was in the best hands! I can not speak more highly of Melanie and her sweet pup Hambone! 100000% using her again :)
Melanie is absolutely amazing! I think my dog was a bit sad to leave after such an action-packed weekend. From constant playtime with her adorable pup, Ham Bone, to daily (and I think more so twice-daily) walks, Melanie went above and beyond. The consistent updates and adorable pictures she sent made me feel so confident that my dog was getting all the exercise, attention, and love she needed. I highly recommend Melanie to anyone looking for a caring and dedicated dog sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of my pup! :D
I cannot say enough good things about Melanie! She is simply THE best. As a first time puppy owner it was intimidating finding someone to take care of our timid little guy, but Melanie sat with us for an hour to make sure he was comfortable even before his first day. I know this made drop off so much less scary for him! He came in scared of other dogs and she went above and beyond to make sure he became pals with her sweet boy Hambone :) She’s flexible and will make sure your pups are well taken care of! She sent tons of pics and updates throughout the day. Rocky is always so excited to see her and is bummed when he has to leave. Selfishly I’d love to keep her all to ourselves, but if you’re thinking of booking I would 10/10 recommend!
Melanie was incredible! Was able to accommodate Neji with only a few hours notice. She communicated quickly and gave me plenty of updates. I’d never left him with anyone from rover before and now I’m sad that Melanie isn’t local to my hometown! It’s apparent that she has a genuine love for animals and she loved him like her own. 100% would recommend.

Schedule
I work from home and have a pup of my own, so walks are part of our daily routine. Very happy to add another pup into the mix.
