My daily and weekly routine consists of me being at home with my puppy, and going to work. I enjoy being constantly surrounded by animals.

It is important to know all dietary restrictions of the dogs, as well as their daily routine since they are just like us humans and function on a schedule. It is also important to know any allergies or places they are unable to go if they are sick or have an injury.

I like to take all dogs that I watch on long walks, or to the dog park if they are friendly with other dogs. I do play with dogs in the water as well as catch with a ball or frisbee.

About Me: A fun fact about me is that I’m a twin! My sister and I both have profiles here on Rover and we are very experienced with pet care! I have been doing Rover since 2022, and have build longstanding relationships with some of my regular clients! I am 24 years old, and I’ve grown up around animals my whole life. I grew up with 4 labs, two of them are still living in Oregon with my parents, and I just recently got a golden retriever. I graduated from Orange Coast College in 2021 with my associates degree, and I’m looking to attend a university here in Nebraska! Pet Experience: As I said above I grew up around dogs and cats, that being said I don’t mind cleaning up messes! I took a vet science class in high school where I got to help work with some of the guide dogs for the blind puppies. In this class I learned how to trim nails, bathe, clean ears, clean cages and even work with chinchillas. I also showed steers and raised a chicken for ffa! I know how to take care of senior dogs that may need assistance, and give medicine to them as well, including injections! Extra information: I work full time in LaVista usually from 5am-1:30pm, and live in Bellevue, I have a 15 mile radius for Dogsitting due to my work hours. I also have a golden retriever service dog that’s over a year old! My boyfriend is in the military, and he helps sometimes with the pets that I housesit for if it is okay with the clients!

Mel was wonderful with our little girl! We could tell from the pictures she sent that Daisy was relaxed and happy. Mel was also very responsive to our messages, and worked with us to assure coverage when our travel plans were derailed by weather. We would happily ask her to care for Daisy again!

As usual, Mel is awesome!! She is very communicative and helpful if there are any issues during her stay! This visit she went above and beyond to help get our dog (that was with us) a new med we needed while we were out of state. House was super well cared for and clean and the dogs are well and happy, which is so nice after being gone for over a week!! Thanks again!! Lots of pictures of happy puppies while we were away!
My wife and I had a bit of an emergency - a previous sitter we had asked to house sit and to watch 3 of our 5 dogs had to back out about a week before we were due to be out of town for 10 days (family emergency, it happens). We reached out to Mel, hoping for a small miracle, and she answered and met with us! She was able to sit for all 10 days and took great care of our dogs (and our house still looked great, of course)! I will definitely be reaching out to her for any future bookings. Thank you, Mel!
