I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a kid and responsible for our own dog - a German Shepard who I took to obedience school as a young teen. I’ve always especially loved big and/or anxious dogs and I’m quite good at reading an animal’s body language and responding appropriately. I have experience with administering meds to pets (including ones who are pill-adverse) and managing puppy energy. I love both dogs and cats and I look forward to caring for your fluffy fam!

Mel was exceptional. They are very responsive, detailed-oriented and take it seriously. They would also send me pictures every day and I felt very comfortable away knowing that Vasya was in good hands and well taken care of. I would definitely asked Mel to spend time with Vasya again when I’m away.
Mel is a great house/cat-sitter and I absolutely recommend them if you are looking for someone to watch your feline friends! They are very reliable and trustworthy - they stayed at my apartment for 5 days and took very good care of my cat. Mel regularly sent photo and video updates of my cat throughout my time away and followed all the instructions I left for her care. 10/10, would use cat-sitting services again!
I can't say enough good things about Mel! They are a responsible, friendly, and reliable caretaker. My dog, Ainslie Wayne, is always excited to spend time with them!
Mel is so caring and gentle with my dog Waffles. Waffles is so excited every time Mel comes over to walk him! Mel takes time to give lots of pets, play games and take special care of my best friend Waffles!!
Mel is the best! My cat Panda adores them. Panda is a very particular feline friend who usually only likes me, but I always feel at ease when I know Mel is looking after Panda. They have even been able to get my other cat Fred and Panda to co-exist in the same place! If you’re looking for someone who is dependable, trustworthy, kind & a whisperer to all gentle animal friends, Mel is the pet sitter for you.
I've know Mel for more than a few years now. We're friends and co-facilitators at Agile Learning Center, the self-directed school that employs us both. Mel has empathy and intuition for understanding the needs of not just small humans, but animals as well! They have personally cared for my cat Irving while I've been away from home, and I can tell the difference between the time he spends with them versus other caretakers. He was clearly well fed and well loved by Mel, and I highly recommend them if you need someone to look after your special furry friend!

I’m an educator who works at an alternative school - which means that during August I’m available all day, every day! During the school year, my availability will shift.
