Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time, which allows me to focus on walks, drop-in visits, and spending quality time with pets throughout the day. I enjoy being active and walking daily, so caring for dogs feels like a natural part of my routine rather than a task. I’m able to plan my day around a pet’s needs and give them consistent attention and care.

I always prioritize a pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being. In my home or the client’s home, I make sure the environment is secure and free of hazards, and I supervise pets at all times. I have a fenced yard where pets can safely play and explore, and my home is always clean and well-maintained. I have a very loving golden retriever, so your dog will have a friendly companion if appropriate. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, walking, and any special needs. During walks, I keep dogs on leash and monitor their behaviour closely to prevent accidents. During feeding times i seperate dogs to avoid food aggression - ensuring they feel safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for!

A typical day
A typical day with me includes a mix of exercise, play, and enrichment. I provide daily walks tailored to the dog’s energy level, and we spend time playing games like fetch, hide-and-seek, and tug-of-war. I also include mental stimulation, such as hiding healthy treats around the house or using puzzle toys to help stimulate them mentally. And of course, there’s plenty of cuddles, attention, and supervision to make sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved throughout the day!

Mekah was an amazing pet sitter. She accommodated our last-minute request and was incredibly communicative before we even booked. Our usual sitter wasn’t available, so we had to find someone new on short notice. Mekah immediately stood out to me because of her warmth, and that impression was confirmed during our initial conversations. She scheduled a meet-and-greet, and she and our dog, Coco, clicked right away. We felt completely comfortable boarding Coco with her. Mekah also has a very sweet Golden Retriever, who made a wonderful companion for Coco while we were away. She followed all of our instructions to a T. Throughout the day, she sent thoughtful updates and always checked in before doing anything that was slightly outside of Coco’s usual routine; for example, giving her a different treat. We really appreciated how respectful and conscientious she was. I’m so grateful we found Mekah. Although this started as an emergency situation, I have no doubt we’ll be booking with her again in the future. She has proven herself to be trustworthy, reliable, caring, and someone who works with integrity. Thank you so much, Mekah, for taking such wonderful care of Coco. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
