Pet care is truly built into the rhythm of my everyday life! I start each morning with breakfast for my crew—everyone has their own food, routine, and needs (including medications), so I’m very used to managing individualized care. Dinner is served right at 5PM, and I take pride in keeping everything consistent and stress-free for them. My favorite part of the day? Cuddle time—whether we’re curled up on the couch or relaxing outside together, those moments are pure magic. For my dogs, daily walks and park trips are a must! We’re lucky to have a great open space nearby where they can run freely, sniff everything in sight, and just be dogs. Caring for pets isn’t a chore for me—it’s one of the most joyful, grounding parts of my day. Whether they have paws, whiskers, or wagging tails, they’re family.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are always my top priorities when caring for pets—whether I’m stopping by for a quick visit, going on a walk, or staying overnight in your home. In your home, I aim to keep your pet’s routine as normal and comforting as possible. I follow all care instructions to the letter, from feeding schedules and medications to favorite hiding spots and potty routines. I always double-check that doors are locked, gates are secure, and your pet is happy and safe before I leave. For walks, I use secure harnesses or collars, avoid high-traffic areas, and stay alert to your pet’s comfort level. No matter the service, I treat your home and your pets with the same respect and care I give my own. My goal is to create a calm, loving environment that your pet feels safe in—because when you’re away, they deserve to feel at home.
Information Meghan R. would like to know about your pet
It’s important to know that I genuinely love animals—caring for them isn’t just something I do, it’s part of who I am. I’ve had pets my entire life, and today I share my home with three cats (one of whom needs daily insulin) and two wonderful dogs, including a senior pup—so I’m very familiar with unique personalities, medical needs, and the joy pets bring to our lives. I’m also a registered nurse, working just two days a week, which leaves my schedule wide open to give your pets the time and attention they deserve. I’ve been on Rover for over 5 years and have 15+ years of experience caring for animals of all types. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and treat every pet like they’re my own—spoiled with love, kept safe, and showered in photo updates. I truly understand how important trust is when it comes to pet care, and I don’t take that lightly.
A typical day
A typical day with me is all about love, play, and making sure your pet feels completely comfortable and cared for! For cats, I’ll tailor my visits to their vibe—whether that means interactive play with toys, brushing, cozy cuddle time, or just quietly hanging out nearby for company. I always make sure their litter is fresh, food and water are just right, and any meds are given as instructed. And of course, I snap lots of adorable photos to keep you updated! With dogs, we start with a good walk, a visit to the park (if they’re up for it!), or playtime in the yard. I love getting them moving and engaged—fetch, sniff walks, and even training games if they enjoy that! Afterward, it’s back home for food, snuggles, and a well-deserved nap. Whether I’m staying overnight or just dropping in, I make it my mission to keep their routine consistent, their tails wagging (or purrs going), and your mind at ease.

Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Meghan — a lifelong animal lover, experienced pet caregiver, and part-time nurse with a heart full of love for all creatures, big and small. 🐾 With over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for pets — including my own furry family of five (3 cats and 2 dogs!) — I understand the importance of reliable, compassionate, and personalized care. One of my cats requires daily insulin injections, and one of my pups is a sweet senior, so I’m comfortable with special needs, medications, and tailoring care to fit each pet’s unique personality and routine. I’ve proudly been a Rover sitter for over 5 years, offering drop-ins, dog walking, and house sitting. As a nurse working just two days a week, my schedule is incredibly flexible — perfect for giving your pets the time and attention they deserve. I truly couldn’t imagine life without animals, and I’ll care for yours just like I do my own. I also promise to send you an obscene number of adorable photo updates — because let’s be honest, your pets are way too cute not to share. 🐶🐱💕

Reviews

Meghan was perfect! I needed her last minute, and she made me feel better instantly. She dropped in on my cat while I was gone for almost a week and they were cuddle friends by the middle of the trip. The updates I got throughout the week were thorough, and included lots of pictures, so we will definitely be booking her again. Thanks Meghan!

Meghan is amazing!! She is so great and attentive with my dog, Teacup, and is receptive to all of my instructions. She facilities play and snuggle time and sends me lovely photos of her visit. We both love her 💙 I highly recommend Meghan.

Meghan was super nice in all of our communications and took great care of my kitties!

Took wonderful care of my cat while I was out of town. Sent very thorough updates and sweet pet pics with every drop in visit. Will definitely use Meghan again- highly recommend!
