I had nine dogs; I can handle yours
I have been an animal lover from day one, when Naima the German Shepherd watched over me with the help of the goofus to her gallant, Tigo, a loveable Brittany spaniel. When I was twelve my family ended up the unwitting recipients of 10 puppies, most of which we kept. Our 9 dog household was complemented by a menagerie of other animals, including cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, geckos, tree frogs, chickens, rats and turtles. Our dogs were so well behaved that no one ever guessed how many we had, even our close next door neighbor. I'm now the caregiver for a rabbit and a lovely cat, as well as saltwater fish. My soft spot is for dogs, and I would love to see more of them through this service, as well as allow my girls to get to know more dogs. I am a stay at home mom looking to earn a little extra income while doing one of the things that makes me the happiest: working with animals. I look forward to caring for your animals as if they were my own.

Meghan and her family are the best. My dog loves being there. We can relax knowing he is in excellent hands and loved as if one of their own furry babies.
Another great stay for our Bailey full of hugs, belly rubs and love. Our dog does not like to be left when we travel but she pulls on her leash to get to Meghan’s house for her stays. We feel she’s in great hands with Meghan and her family.
Meaghan and her sweet family are the best! They love our big fury baby like he’s a part of their family. We know Mojo’s in good hands when we’re away.
Very accommodating to our needs and took wonderful care of our baby girl. 😊
Better care than they get at home, and I do try, but Megan and family really provide both excellent care and lots of love for my dogs. Greatly appreciated.

Schedule
I'm a stay at home mom and we spend a lot of time outside every day, so the dogs fit right in and enjoy playing outside with us or going to the park together. My husband also works from home so someone is always home.

Safety, trust & environment
The dogs primarily sleep downstairs where my husband works. Sometimes we will switch them with the cat upstairs in the evening and they'll sleep with me and the kids. We have to keep our cat separate as he doesn't like most dogs. They get a lot of attention and a great deal of time playing outside. We have a lot of toys for them to play with and they enjoy spending time with the kids while they hang out in the yard. They eat around 8am and 6pm and are let out every few hours and are generally never alone for more than 4-6 hours.
Pets
A typical day
We live near Rock Creek Park and the dogs will enjoy many fun walks on the trails in the woods, as well as walking in local parks. I also have a fenced backyard and I love to play fetch and tug of war with dogs.
