Safety, trust & environment

My #1 goal is to make sure your pup feels safe, relaxed, and happy during their stay or walk. I treat every dog as an individual—with their own needs, energy, and comfort zones. I don’t have a yard, but we more than make up for it with frequent outings—usually 4–6 dog park or walk sessions a day, depending on the weather and your dog’s needs. Fun fact: 20 minutes of sniffing offers the same mental stimulation as a full hour walk. I always let dogs take their time, follow their nose, and enjoy the world around them—it’s about enrichment, not just exercise. My apartment is dog-friendly (yes, furniture and beds are fair game!), and I have a crate available if your dog prefers that option. Your dog will have two built-in buddies: Skye (20 lbs) and Reign (35 lbs), both friendly and social. I always supervise interactions to make sure every pup feels safe and included. Happy to answer any questions—just shoot me a message!

Information Meghan K. would like to know about your pet

I want your dog to feel right at home here, so the more I know, the better! If your pup is staying overnight, I’d love to know: -Their daily routine/schedule -Temperament, preferences, and quirks (My old girl Storm used to hide under my bedside table during storms—I get it! and no, the irony did not escape me). -Crate habits or furniture rules at home -Medical needs, diet restrictions, or anything else you'd want me to know For walks, please let me know if your pup has any habits like pulling, leash biting, reactivity, or needs extra encouragement. I’ll always adjust to what makes your dog feel safe and happy.

A typical day

Hoping your pup is social—because they’ll have two new friends during their stay! Each morning we kick things off with a 40–50 minute walk, followed by a midday dog park trip to burn off energy and socialize. After a well-earned nap (and usually some couch cuddles), we head out for another long walk in the evening. Skye and Reign are both super friendly and good at matching the vibe of their visitors. If your dog wants to play all day, they’ll be right there. If your pup prefers to relax, they’ll give them space. I’m more than happy to adjust our routine to your dog’s comfort and energy level—less walking, more play, more rest, or whatever your pup needs. They won’t be alone, and they’ll get plenty of love!

Pet care experience

Dogs are the purest, kindest souls—and spending time with them is genuinely therapeutic for me. I care deeply about every dog I welcome into my home, and I’ll treat your pup like one of my own. I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with Storm, our Australian Shepherd, and later Mazie, a 5-lb Shih Tzu-Poodle mix (who now runs my parents’ house). These days, I share my home with two amazing pups—Skye, my almost 3-year-old sassy Pomsky (20 lbs), and Reign, a goofy, lovable 1-year-old rescue (35 lbs, and very husky-coded). When staying with me, your dog will have constant supervision and plenty of attention. I have experience with all kinds of pups, from high-energy dogs to shy or senior pets. I’m comfortable administering medication, sticking to special diets, and working with dogs who need a little extra love. I also love sharing photo and video updates—because I know how hard it can be to be away from your best friend.

Meghan was so welcoming and pretty much instantly bonded with Archie who sometimes has "stranger danger" and can be difficult with new people. Archie fit right in with her other dogs and was well adjusted and calm when he came home - sometimes not the case when we leave him with others. We would highly recommend Meghan and hope to have Archie stay with her again soon.

Meghan is amazing. She is reliable, on time, and treats my dog like her own. The walk left PJ very happy, well-exercised, and calmer/tired at home. What truly sets Meghan apart is her professionalism and genuine love for animals. I feel confident knowing my dog is in safe, caring hands. If you're looking for a dependable and compassionate dog walker, I highly recommend Meghan.
