Walks, Snuggles & Backyard Zoomies!
Dogs truly are one of life’s greatest gifts. I’ve loved them for as long as I can remember, and our home has always felt happiest with a dog in it. We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved Corgi/Cattle Dog mix, and we miss him every day. While we’re not quite ready for another dog of our own yet, we would absolutely love to open our home and hearts to care for yours. My husband and I live in a house in Lafayette with a large backyard that’s perfect for sniffing, exploring, and backyard zoomies. We love taking dogs on walks around Lake Waneka and, if your pup enjoys adventure, we also head to the foothills for relaxed hikes. Of course, if your dog prefers a slower pace and lots of couch cuddles, we are more than happy to provide that too. We have plenty of snuggles ready to give. One or both of us typically work from home, which means your dog will get lots of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. We understand how important it is to know your pet is safe and happy, so we’re always happy to send updates and photos while you’re away. Our goal is simple: to make your dog feel comfortable, loved, and at home while you’re gone.

Meghan and Hakon are amazing and loved on our pups so much! It was Kinzie’s first stay away and they made her feel so at ease and comfortable in their home. Lincoln is a pro and had a blast. We got plenty of updates and photos and knew our dogs were in great hands. Lincoln and Kinzie look forward to their next stay!
Asher had a fantastic time with Meghan and Hakon. Plenty of bunnies to chase and furniture to lounge on, so he’s excited to go back next time! Thank you both!

Meghan and Hakon took excellent care of our dog. He got lots of great walks, enjoyed playing ball, and snuggling with them! They are a great couple who love dogs and I’d definitely use them again in the future when we need a rover!

Meghan is one of the most genuinely loving dog people ever. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her awesome pup Kevin Bacon could see how much heart she poured into caring for him. From daily walkies and hikes to countless dog park adventures, mountains of treats, and even the portraits of him on her walls, it’s clear that in Meghan’s world, dogs are family. My own dogs would absolutely give Meghan four paws up. She makes sure they’re always invited to dinner when I am, and when they arrive she’s genuinely delighted to see them. She gives the very best snuggles, knows exactly where the good ear scratchies are, and is perfectly happy to sit on the floor giving belly rubs far longer than necessary. She has that calm, joyful energy dogs trust immediately. If you’re looking for someone to care for your dog, Meghan is exactly the kind of person you hope to find. I would trust her with my children (both human and animal) anytime!

Dates de la garde
During the week, one or both of us typically work from home, so your dog will have plenty of companionship and attention throughout the day. Your pup can expect a morning walk, potty breaks whenever needed, and another walk in the evening. If your dog enjoys longer outings, we’re also happy to take them on relaxed hikes in the foothills. On weekends, we tend to be active and love being outdoors. When appropriate, we’re happy to include your dog in our adventures, whether that’s a longer walk, a trip to the lake, or simply spending time outside enjoying the fresh air.

We have a large, fenced-in backyard that’s perfect for playing fetch and letting dogs enjoy some backyard zoomies. Inside the house, we’re a pretty relaxed, dog-loving home. Pups are welcome on the couch and even the bed if that’s part of their routine. That said, we understand every dog and owner has different preferences. If you prefer stricter boundaries, crate training, or a specific routine, we’re happy to follow whatever works best for your dog. Above all, we treat every dog in our care like a member of the family. Your pup will receive lots of love, attention, exercise, and a safe, comfortable place to relax. We’re always happy to send photo updates so you can see how your pup is doing while you’re away.
