Loving home for small/medium pups

Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who truly misses having a furry companion at home after recently losing my Yorkie of 14 wonderful years. I’ve also previously owned a Lab mix, so I’m comfortable with different temperaments, energy levels, and routines. I offer in-home boarding for small and medium-sized dogs and host only one family’s pets at a time. This keeps the environment calm, predictable, and low-stress for your dog. I welcome dogs of all ages, from young puppies to senior dogs, and I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs, energy levels, and routines. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal sleeping routine. Dogs may sleep in my bed if that’s what they’re used to, and crating at night is absolutely fine if preferred. I’m comfortable with both crate-trained and non-crated dogs. For the comfort of all guests, I do ask that dogs be fully house trained. Please also note that I do not petsit cats (to my child’s disappointment!).

Safety, trust & environment

My home is a quiet, single-story house with a fully fenced backyard. There are no resident pets and no smoking in the home. Dogs are welcome to relax on the furniture and feel comfortable, just like they would at home. I also have a separate gated area available if a dog prefers their own space or needs downtime. Because I only host one family’s pets at a time, your dog will have a calm, low-stress environment and my full attention. I do have a gentle, dog-loving 5-year-old child who has grown up around dogs. All interactions are fully supervised, and dogs can always be separated if they prefer their own space. My child is never home without me. With this in mind, dogs must be child-friendly and comfortable around children.

Meghan was amazing & made my dog feel right at home. My dog can be nervous with new people but my dog was immediately comfortable. I could tell my dog was very relaxed in Meghan’s care & she did a great job keeping her schedule & recognizing her preferences. Would highly recommend!

Meghan watched my dog while I was on a 4 day trip, and I had a great experience. Communication was clear and timely from the initial request through pickup. I appreciated the regular updates and photos, which made it easy to relax while I was away. Her home was clean and well set up for boarding. It’s clear Meghan has a lot of experience with dogs based on the questions she asked at the meet and greet to ensure she cared for my dog in the same way he’s cared for at home. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for in-home boarding, and I will use her again in the future. Meghan’s child was also very gentle and sweet with my dog. It looks like they all settled in quickly and had a blast.

Meghan was great! She was very communicative and sent daily updates on Sylvester. Her home and yard were clean, safe, and very nice. Most importantly, Sylvester seemed to truly enjoy his stay and came home happy. I look forward to booking with her again!

Meghan was my primary dog sitter for the years I lived in Houston. She loves my dogs as her own and provides updates of their fun regularly. She is highly responsive and the most responsible and over qualified dog sitter I've ever found. Wish I could have taken her with me when I moved away!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I work from home 1–2 days per week. On workdays, dogs are typically alone for no more than 4–5 hours at a time. My office is only 15 minutes away, which allows me to come home for midday potty breaks and check-ins. Dogs receive regular outdoor breaks throughout the day, along with attention, play, and companionship. Walks are available if your dog enjoys them. We can explore neighborhood paths, and my neighborhood also connects to a bayou trail that is great for safe, enjoyable outings. Communication is very important to me, and I provide regular photo updates and check-ins so you always know how your dog is doing.
