I am currently a university student and will be available throughout the summer after finishing my studies at the beginning of June. When I return to university in October, I will receive my timetable in advance, allowing me to plan pet-sitting bookings around my schedule and provide plenty of notice regarding my availability.

I have access to a 4x4 vehicle and can safely transport dogs using a crate where required. As a student paramedic with previous experience in the ambulance service, I have completed advanced driving training and understand the importance of safety, responsibility, and reliability. I will always treat your pets with the same level of care and attention that I would expect for my own.

I would like to know your pet’s routine, personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs and any medical or behavioural requirements. For longer bookings, I am always happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand so that your pet can become familiar with me.
A typical day
The activities I plan will always depend on your pet’s usual routine, personality and energy levels. For dogs, this may include walks, longer countryside hikes for more active dogs, playtime, enrichment games and plenty of attention at home. I am also happy to adapt walks for older dogs or those that prefer a quieter pace. For cats, I can provide playtime with their favourite toys, gentle interaction, feeding, and lots of cuddles, where welcomed. I also understand that some cats prefer their own space, so I will always follow their lead and make sure they feel comfortable and settled.

I have grown up in a household with both cats and dogs, so I am very comfortable caring for pets with a range of personalities and needs. I have also provided dog-sitting and cat-sitting for friends and family on many occasions. I am an active person who enjoys walking and regularly goes hiking on Dartmoor and in the Blackdown Hills. I would therefore be very happy to care for dogs that need longer walks, plenty of exercise, or a more energetic routine.

I warmed to Meghan the first time she arrived for a meet and greet with my dogs. Came home to happy pooches, tidy house and vegetable plot watered, not to mention bed linen already washed. Can’t thank this lady enough for looking after my fur babies.

Meghan looked after our cat Masha, for a week while we were away, visiting twice a day to ensure he was fed, comfortable, safe, and well cared for. From the outset, Meghan was warm, caring, professional, and reliable. She spent quality time with Masha during every visit, giving him plenty of attention, affection, and playtime, which was evident from the many photos and updates she sent us throughout the week. It was clear that she genuinely cared about his wellbeing and happiness, not just his basic needs. Communication was excellent throughout. Meghan kept us regularly updated, providing great reassurance and peace of mind while we were away.
