Pet care is our routine around here! Aside from running our human kiddo to school, my entire days revolve around the needs of the dogs in our home. We set aside time for playtime in the yard, cuddles on the couch, and training time for pups booked through my training company.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced yard with a secondary fenced space for smaller dogs. We have 3 resident dogs who are all friendly and playful, and grumpy old man cat who mostly avoids the dogs. Guest pups are crated when we are away from home and overnight, with a camera on them to make sure everyone is safe and happy.

Information Meggan P. would like to know about your pet
Anything you can tell me! Pets should be child friendly, cat safe, dog friendly and crate trained to stay with me. If you’re unsure about any of these just let me know and we can always set up a test day!
A typical day
Every day starts with some playtime in the backyard before breakfast. Breakfast is served while I take the human child to school for the day, then once I’m home it’s all about the pups. We rotate between hanging out inside while I work at my desk and running around the backyard. When the weather is nice the back door will likely be open, and if it’s hot the pool will be set up in the yard. We do a nap with chews while I pick up the kiddo and then it’s usually more backyard time but this time with a bonus two legged playmate. Dinner is served in crates while we eat and do bedtime, then it’s cuddle time on the couch until we go to bed ourselves!

Pet care experience
I have been a dog lover my entire life, but after getting my first dog at 18 I decided to become a professional dog lover. I have worked at boarding kennels, vet clinics and shelters and for the last 8 years have owned and operated a training company where we have offered in home care for a variety of pets. I love working with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I love even more getting to make them a part of my extended family.
Reviews
My husband and I have worked closely with Meggan over the past year to train and board our hound pup Otis. Otis was a very skittish 1-yo rescue when we first adopted him and Meggan helped us understand the source of these behaviors and how to manage them. Now Otis is an extremely friendly and trusting 2 -yo, well-socialized with other dogs and able to loose leash walk. Otis loves staying with Meggan for day school and overnight boarding, and we always know he's in good hands with her!
