I AM NOT AVAILABLE FOR CONSTANT CARE HOUSESITTING. I do prioritize your pet and do my best that your pet is not left alone for longer than 7 hours at a time. However, if your needs require more than that, I am not the best fit for a housesitter. When I housesit, I do stay overnight. I am no longer able to provide care in my own home, but I can do drop-in visits, walks, and housesitting with your pets! I specialize in anxious, nervous, reactive, or any other pets with special needs. I am comfortable administering medications and managing behavioral issues. I avoid dog parks for insurance reasons, but I can find lots of alternatives for getting your pet the exercise and mental stimulation they need.
Information Megan W. would like to know about your pet
No breed preferences, but PLEASE tell me if you have a resource guarder or a fearful/reactive dog. I CAN work with it, it isn't a problem, but please tell me so I can properly manage.
A typical day
I play a lot of games on walks to build engagement, but I also value a good sniffy walk! A sniff-ari, if you will. I am also a dog trainer, so I know lots of interesting things and engagement activities to do on a walk.

Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Megan, and I love dogs! I have taken dog training classes, so I know lots of fun games to play with the wild dogs. I have owned two Catahoula Leopard Dogs and a Border Collie mix. As you can guess, I know how to deal with zoomies! I also have experience with fearful or reactive dogs, so I know some of the best ways to engage those dogs during drop-in visits or walks. I know how to use various positive reinforcement training protocols, such as CARE and LAT, with reactive dogs. Let me know if your dog has special needs! I have taken a wide variety of dog training classes, mostly focusing on behavior. However, I have also taken dog strength training classes with dog physical rehabilitation classes. In other words, physical therapy for dogs! We practice gentle exercises to strengthen the hips and core, which can be beneficial for senior dogs who are starting to feel achy after their walks.
Reviews

Megan was great with Bruno! You can tell that she has a lot of experience with dogs since she understands different body language and behaviors. She is definitely a dog person and we love that. She was responsible with her visits, reliable and took good care of our dog and our home. She would speak to Bruno in a very kind way, give him belly rubs and play with him! Thank you Megan for taking such good care of our Bruno! Woof!

Attentive, easy to work with, and very understanding of old dogs.
Megan is amazing as always. She took such good care of Farrah through many nights of storms, which she was significantly afraid of. Thanks Magan for loving and snuggling her while we were gone, and for keeping my plants and chickens alive too. I hope you will be able to care for my animals again.

Megan is always fabulous! She is very communicative and always sends a cute pic of the fun her and Louis have!
