Pet Staycation - Close to DIA!
I have a wealth of experience with dogs in a multitude of settings, including my own pets, volunteering at local shelters and fostering for various rescues and animals of all breeds and sizes. I have experience caring for elderly animals with mobility challenges, giving subcutaneous fluids, administering insulin shots, feeding for megaesophagus and administering medications and supplements. I live in a new neighborhood (Painted Prairie) very close to the Denver International Airport and down the street from offsite airport parking. I do my best to be flexible (outside of my work hours) so I can accommodate drop off and pickup times that work best for you, especially when traveling. I have a 4 year old rescued Great Dane named Tilly. She is super sweet and loves other dogs. She is very energetic and loves to play, but is respectful of dogs setting boundaries and will happily relax on the couch. She may not be the best fit for some older dogs. I do foster for various animal rescues and will let you know ahead of time if I have a foster during the time of your request. My pets are part of the family, and yours will be treated the same way! I do my best to provide updates and pictures frequently, since I know what it’s like to worry about a pet while you are away. My home is very pet friendly with extra beds and toys so there is always a cozy space and something fun to play with. Pets are welcome on the furniture or the bed too, however I will do my best to follow the rules you have for your pet.

Safety, trust & environment
I want to provide your dog with care that is as close to possible as what they would receive from you, from their feeding schedule to where they sleep at night. I have extra dog beds and extra crates (depending on the dog’s size), or you are welcome to send familiar items with your pet. Whatever makes them feel the most comfortable! I have a fenced side yard (5ft, wood) for convenient potty breaks, however also live in a neighborhood with amazing parks and trails for daily walks if that is something your dog enjoys.

Megan was great! She gave our cat lots of love during her drop ins. She went out of her way to help us while we were on vacation. It was a huge relief having her as a sitter!

Schedule
I am a teacher so I am off during the summer, weekends and many holidays. When I am working (Monday-Friday during the school year), a typical day for me away from the house is 7:30am-4:30pm. If you are looking for dog walking or drop in services, I am available before 7am, after 4;30pm, or on the weekends. I prefer spending my weekends at home, so other than the occasional errand, walks around the neighborhood or trip to the dog park, I am home to give lots of love and attention to the pet(s) staying with me.
