dogs in daycare, boarding, walking, and enrichment settings, so planning my day around potty breaks, walks, feeding schedules, medication, and playtime comes naturally. Right now, I am taking a step back from large-scale management roles to focus more on family and school, which gives me flexibility for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and overnight care throughout the week. I enjoy building pet care into my routine because it keeps me active, outdoors, and doing something I genuinely love

Safety, trust & environment

Safety is always my top priority. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, temperaments, and medical needs, including shy, senior, reactive, and high-energy dogs. I pay close attention to body language, leash safety, feeding routines, medication schedules, and household rules so pets stay comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I respect their routines and keep things as consistent as possible to reduce stress for the pet. I am comfortable with crates, gates, multi-dog households, and reinforcing training. I also believe communication is important, so pet parents can expect regular updates, photos, and honest check-ins so they always know their pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m Megan, a longtime animal care professional in Baltimore with years of experience managing and working in dog daycare, boarding, training, enrichment, and client care. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, temperaments, and medical needs, from energetic puppies to seniors, shy dogs, reactive dogs, and pups who need a little extra patience or structure. After spending years in a leadership role in the pet care industry, I’m currently taking a step back to focus on family and school. Rover feels like the perfect way for me to continue doing what I love most — spending time with dogs and providing thoughtful, reliable care on a more personal level. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, medications, behavioral needs, leash handling, crate routines, training reinforcement, and multi-dog households. I also understand dog body language and know how to keep walks, drop-ins, and visits safe, calm, and tailored to each dog’s needs. As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your dog. I pride myself on clear communication, detailed updates, and making sure both pets and owners feel comfortable and supported. Whether your dog wants a neighborhood walk, a little playtime, cuddles on the couch, or just someone dependable while you’re away, I’d love to help.

She was amazing! My pup had so much fun playing with her!

Megan has been taking care of my pup Nova for the past 8 years. She is well-versed in pet behavior and is capable of navigating multi-pup dynamics and creating boundaries that ensure a safe and enriching experience. Every time I return, I can tell Nova has loved her time with Megan and her boundaries have been enforced since she hasn't picked up any undesirable behaviors. If you want to come home to a happy dog, Megan is your answer!
