Availability

Being recently retired, I have no ongoing commitments so my calendar is largely free. I have decided to embark on dog boarding and day care in our home initially although I will also consider dog walking or pop in calls within walking radius of our home.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a large safe and secure fenced in rear garden with plenty of space for dogs to have as much fun and exercise they require throughout the day. I live in a rural location minutes from the coast so ample opportunity for country, woodland and coastal walks. My Welsh terrier is available to play and walk with our guests although there is also plenty of space should you prefer to keep your dog separate. At night, I have a dedicated warm and comfy utility room for exclusive use by your pet with direct access to a fenced in yard for toilet breaks. Alternatively, if your pet is crated overnight then there is ample space to accommodate this.

Information Megan W. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviours in advance so that I can be satisfied that I can meet your dogs specific needs- this should include dietary and sleeping patterns and whether you are happy for your dog to socialise with our family dog and others we might encounter on walks. My preference is for dogs that walk well on the lead and are less than 15kg. I will require your dogs vet certificate to verify vaccination history and confirmation that your dog receives the appropriate worming and flea treatments.

A typical day

A typical doggy day in our house is fun, eat, sleep, relax and repeat. Aswell as having a huge fenced garden where we can play catch or ‘find it’, we are surrounded by quiet country lane walks, woodland experiences and minutes away from the coast for beach walks - whatever your preferences are, I’ll aim to accommodate.

Pet care experience

I’ve taken care of our Welsh Terrier for 12 years (and counting) and more recently our daughter’s 8 month old cocker spaniel pup so I’ve got experience in both senior and puppy care of 2 uniquely feisty breeds. My deep passion, love, care and respect for dogs means that I am well placed to tailor my care and support to the specific needs of your best mate.

Mam (Megan) absolutely loves dogs, she just gets them! She’s built such a strong bond with our family dog over the years, giving him all the love and attention he needs every day, takes him out on so many different adventures and ‘cwtches’ him in the night. Recently Mam has started to share this love with my own dog. She has cared for him on numerous occasions and is just amazing with him. I know I can trust that he will be safe and have a good time in her care. If you want your dog to have a home from home, full of love and coming back happy then this is definitely the place for you!
