Hi! I'm Megan and I have been watching neighborhood dogs since I could walk a dog on my own! I currently have 5 border collies of my own and foster border collies through Blue Ridge Border Collie Rescue where I also serve as a board member; I love volunteering! Breeds of dogs I have watched are golden retrievers, golden doodles, Shelties, beagles, greyhounds, and I am sure there are more! I have also watched plenty of house cats and grew up with cats all my life. I enjoy training and currently teach STAR Puppy, basic obedience, and trick classes. I currently compete in disc with all of my dogs, 3 are competitive and all 5 are in a casual league. My typical pet care routine with my dogs is a few miles of walking every morning followed by yard play and trick/obedience training. I work from home so I have a lot of attention to give to your pups! I have a decent sized yard, around an acre, that my dogs get plenty of exercise in.

We found Megan on Rover and after we met her for a meet and greet prior to our trip, megan was so kind and knowledgeable since she has 5 of her own dogs, trains dogs and had a great way of how she would care for our dog during trip. She sent us pictures and updates daily that gave us peace of mind she was in great hands. And we will be certainly be asking Megan for our all future trips to care for our dog.
I left my dog for 12 days with Megan, she gave me pictures and keep me informed with everything with my dog. Dog did great with Megan. Would use her dog service again and would highly recommend her . Five stars

We recently took a trip out of state, we were not able to bring our pup along. We had a horrible experience with a local kennel previously and I was super hesitant with leaving him anywhere. As soon as I contacted Megan, she responded right away and answered any questions I had in depth. While we were away she kept us updated daily and sent pictures. I was able to enjoy our time away and not worry about his wellbeing. Megan is great, we will be booking again. I highly recommend her!

Schedule
I am home all day so dogs fit easily into my routine. I do teach training classes 3 days per week so would be gone for about 2 hours in the evenings.

Safety, trust & environment
When outside I utilize long lines in the yard to ensure I can easily grab a dog or so they can’t bolt. When inside they would be in a crate or X-pen if they can’t be watched. If I am in the living room/kitchen then they can be out with me.
Pets
A typical day
I walk several miles a day and I like to throw a frisbee for my dogs in the yard after a walk. If your dog would be staying on a weekend we would go hiking! My dogs love hiking and swimming and I would take yours along if you wouldn't mind! And I promise they will be bathed because of course hikes get them dirty!
