I have cared for animals my entire life. I have experience with puppies, reactive dogs, aggressive dogs, and senior dogs. I have cared for dogs pre and post-operations. I have experience potty training, crate training, and leash training. I am comfortable administering medications and giving injections. Similarly I have experience with cats of all ages and temperaments, including cats with special medical needs. Extra experience includes horses, goats, cows, and chickens, which I have spent extensive time around since my childhood. My upbringing on a farm taught me a great deal about animal care, responsibility, and hard work. Animals were the central part of chores and daily tasks growing up. I learned about how intuitive animals are and how they respond to and feel the energy of humans. I am a Registered Nurse, and the same qualities that make me an excellent nurse make me an excellent animal caretaker. I am sensitive and in tune with the needs of people and animals, I am responsible and prioritize safety, I am calm in a crisis, and I am trustworthy. If this bio seems long it’s only because I know it is a BIG deal to trust another person with the care of your beloved animals and your home. I want you to know I will treat your animals as my own, and I will do whatever is needed to make sure you are comfortable and at ease with the arrangement.

Megan was a gem and made my first experience with Rover a positive one. I appreciated her taking the time to do a meet and greet before booking and for asking helpful questions about my dog’s behavior and habits to ensure we had a compatible fit. I also felt comfortable with Megan due to her experience with reactive dogs and understanding how to avoid or overcome triggers while still advocating for my dog koda. Thank you Megan!
Megan is very responsible, calm and focused. She knows how to handle large exuberant dogs: huskies, German shepherds, Australian cattle dogs as well as small but strong willed Jack Russell terriers. She is able to protect them on a walk as well as in a dog park. She has my highest recommendation.

Schedule
I’m currently taking a break from full-time nursing work so that I can travel and have some respite from the healthcare field. One of the ways I fill my cup is by spending time with animals, and I would love to be someone you can trust to be with your pets when they need reliable and loving care.

My greatest priority is the safety of your animals and following any instructions that you require for their care. I know how important it is to have peace of mind when someone else is caring for your animals and I would want to know exactly how to meet your needs and theirs. You know your pet best, and I want to understand all your pets little quirks and characteristics!
A typical day
I love to learn about the specific needs of each animal and find what fulfills them. A lot of dogs need more than just exercise, but also mental stimulation. I’ve learned lots of games with my husky!
