I am currently at college and have a job so I can fit pet care into anytime on weekends and after 6pm on weekdays. I can also provide pet care during bank holidays and any other time off I have.

I can cater to different pets’ needs and follow specific instructions pet owners have for their pets to make sure they have the best care. I will only provide pet care for pets outside of my house as I have a dog and wouldn’t want pets to become stressed by this, also for the sake of my own dog’s wellbeing.

A typical day
It depends on the personality of the dog depending on what I do with them. I can cater activities to the dogs personal needs. Some activities include walking them, playing with them, feeding, training/practicing tricks, or just relaxing if they are an older or less active dog. I can give more nervous dogs space and time to get to know me better by being quiet and gentle and being patient but I can also provide stimulating activity for more active or higher need dogs.

Pet care experience
I’ve cared for family pets for many years and have attended an animal management course for animal welfare and behaviour, which included details of training animals and properly caring for a variety of different animals and pets. I have also volunteered at a dog kennels looking after dogs in kennels whilst their owners were away and I currently work at a dog groomers. I have learned to care for a variety of animals so can provide care for different pets.
