I found my rescue dog in the trash!
Since I was young, I have cared for animals big and small. I grew up with cats and dogs, but have also raised the occasional turtle, snake, lizard, mouse, and fish. I love animals and am not afraid of complicated instructions or a challenge. I have experience with accidents, medications, and clingy, anxiety-ridden babies. I have an educational background in psychology - paying attention to pets and watching for their cues helps keep them healthy and happy. I’ll be able to tell if something is an stress-reaction or “just that weird thing they do.” My current companion is my best boy, Teddie. I found him in the trash on the side of the road one day (true story!) and bringing him home was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Each pet is unique in how they communicate. I pay careful attention to a pet’s cue or behavior to determine what they may need. By being observant, I can ensure that your pet is happy, safe, and well taken care of! Many pets that I have cared for needed medication or had special instructions for care. I am no stranger to potty accidents or stress reactions. I would be happy to care for your pet that may need a little extra patience or kindness. Unfortunately, due to my small apartment, I am unable to care for pets in my home.

I wholeheartedly recommend Megan to care for anyone’s fur baby. She treats every pet as if they're her own. Megan is one of the most loving, caring, and patient people I know when it comes to animals. I’ve seen firsthand how she takes care of her own dog, whom she rescued and nurtured back to being healthy, happy, and deeply loved. The bond she has with him speaks volumes about the kind of caregiver she is. As my own dog has gotten older, I’ve become extremely selective about who I trust to care for him. He needs a gentle, calm, and non-overstimulating environment, and I don’t feel comfortable leaving him with just anyone. Megan has been the only person outside of my family whom I fully trust with his care. She treats him wonderfully, giving him so much love, patience, and attention, especially during walks. He absolutely adores her and gets excited every time he sees her. Not to mention the adorable photo updates she sends; I can always see the joy on my puppers' face. I always feel completely at ease knowing he’s safe, cared for, and genuinely loved when he’s with Megan!!

Schedule
I currently have a flexible work schedule and work remotely on Mondays. I have full availability for Saturday and Sunday, so I can be the perfect sitter for your long weekend getaways!
