I got my first dog when I was 4 years old, his name was Tigger and I loved that dog more than words could hope to express. Sadly Tigger is no longer with us but I learned a lot from growing up with him. Tigger got diabetes as he aged so I am familiar with administering insulin shots, I know how to deal with a myriad of health issues (from ear infections to wound care), we have helped another one of our dogs recover from a two hind leg paralyzation (this sounds fake but it is a true story ask me about Bully) and helped my own dog, Chica recover from IMHA which required incredibly time sensitive oral medication administration and monitoring. I've had dogs growing up my entire life. Both smaller dogs (mini dobermans and mini doberman mixes, and maltese dogs) and large dogs (lab mixes, doodles, golden retrievers and rottweilers) because my family has always loved having pets around. Through Rover we have watched many many new breeds as well and each one has been a joy and educational experience for all of us.
