I have a very large fenced back yard for your dog to play! I have a dog of my own that is dog friendly, sometimes she likes to tell them this is her house, but quickly warms up and enjoys their company! I share custody of her with my ex, so sometimes she’s not home. And he is always happy to have her company while your dog is here if necessary. I also have a cat so getting along is a must. She loves dogs and typically greets them by rubbing on them. I have no rules as far as getting on furnitue, my house is their house! My house does have stairs and this can be difficult for some senior dogs.

I don’t have much experience with special needs pets but I am capable of giving oral medication, I have never given injections and am not experienced in other medical procedures
A typical day
I live right off of a greenway that my dog and I love to take walks on. My backyard is large, we will run around and throw balls. We love cuddle time and have lots of toys to play with.

Pet care experience
I have many years of experience caring for animals. I have always had pets of my own. I currently have a dog, a cat, a tortoise, a snake and a couple axolotls, but have had other small and different types of animals in the past. I have cared for pets for my family and friends before, and have volunteered at various wildlife facilities in the past. I was an intern keeper at a small zoo over the summer out of high school, and I was an animal care technician at John’s Hopkins University for several years after college. After that I took a some time off to raise my children. I have a 15 and an 11 year old, and my partner’s 9 year old is here sometimes too! Now I have been volunteering at Zoo Knoxville for 6 years as an assistant zoo keeper and animal handler in the Kids Cove department. I love animals and will treat yours like family!
