Safety, trust & environment
I have a completely separate room dedicated to keeping your pet comfortable, it is in a quiet part of the home. I have a fenced yard with plenty of open space to play. In the warmer months, I have a doggie splash pad set up and misters. My lab is named Luna and she is the friendliest girl, whether it be a shy spaniel or a rowdy staffie, she will match the energy of any new play-mates. The playpen pictured can be adjusted into various shapes and sizes as well as moved into the family room. That playpen fits small to medium size dogs. Safe sleep practices will be followed like toys/blankets being removed from kennel or playpen overnight unless it’s an item from home that the owner specifies is okay to be with dog overnight without supervision. I have one kennel that fits large dogs, any additional kennels would have to be provided by owners.

Information Megan O. would like to know about your pet
At the time of the meet and greet, I typically ask about your dog’s meal times and amounts, sleeping arrangements, reliable commands, any notable allergies, as well as any triggers or noise sensitivities (example: the vacuum). Also we can discuss if your dog prefers to be kept separate from other dogs or children. I can separate my dog and child from your fur baby’s space and maintain their boundaries. My child is 4.5 years old and she is used to being surrounded by dogs. We regularly practice methods for her to handle energetic or nippy dogs, this includes the “tree” method where she stands still with her hands flat by her side until the dog loses interest. We also reinforce the rule of no touching the dogs or reaching over their heads to pet them, we hold our hands down by our sides for the dogs to sniff and lick, if the dog indicates they want a pet or back scratch then we can touch the dog. Since Luna has been raised alongside her, she knows to not handle faces, ears, or tails in any way. If your dog is comfortable with children then just know that they will be ridiculously loved while at our home.
A typical day
Since I have a lab/GSP mix, I always have mental and physical games lined up for each day. These include fetch and exploring the neighborhood. I also use regular meal times to exercise a dog’s greatest tool, their nose. This entails using either interactive food bowls, snuffle balls, or hiding portions of food around the yard for the pup to find (which might look a little silly but it keeps my working line lab happy 😊)

Experienced and fun-loving dog mom!
Pet care experience
My experience with animals ranges from dogs to bunnies to birds! My first interactions with dogs were Adronicus mastiffs, newfoundlands and pit bulls. While large breeds hold a special place in my heart, I have owned the sweetest Maltipoo, the most stubborn dachshund, and I currently own the world’s most happy-go-lucky lab. All sizes and personalities are welcome! My home has become the go-to destination for family’s pets when they’re in town and for friend’s pets when they leave town! Reach out and we can set up a meet and greet!
Reviews

Forever and always my favorite sitter. Megan and her little helper are very attentive, kind and promptly respond to all messages. If you’re looking to leave your fur baby with anyone, pick her. I promise you won’t regret it.

I am so happy I found Megan. My pup is only 13 weeks old so I was a bit apprehensive when I dropped her off, but Megan put my mind at ease with her plan on welcoming my Sophie. She kept her away from the bigger dogs then gradually introduced her to them. They took to each other right away. Megan will send pictures and video's throughout the day showing me what my pup was doing. After a week with being with Megan my pup gets excited to see her and jumps into her arms when i drop her off! I can't say enough about Megan and her daughter, they are perfect dog sitters and your dog will be in the best of hands!

Nyla seems excited to go to a play date with Megan& her daughter. Lots of pictures so much fun for her.

Best doggy day care services in the area hands down! Drop off and pick up are always a breeze and my pup gets so excited to go see her everytime.
