Reliable Professional Pet Services
⭐️ 10 years of professional experience working with dogs. My goal is peace of mind for you and a happy and healthy pet 💖 I started working with dogs professionally in 2016. I worked in a doggy daycare, for a dog walking company providing off-leash adventure hikes, and as a personal assistant/dog nanny for an actress. My approach as a dog handler is calm, confident, and gentle. I live on a large, forested piece of property. If your dog loves hiking or walking in the forest this is the perfect place for them! I love the company of animals and going for dog walks, but I can't commit to owning a pet right now. I had my own rough collie puppy for 12 years so I am used to caring for animals as part of my daily routine. Your pet will be my family while they are staying, getting all the love, care, and attention they need! I only host 1 dog at a time, so they have my undivided attention. (I can host multiple dogs from the same family.)

Megan was a wonderful sitter for my Pomeranian Finn! She sent numerous updates with photos and videos. Finn was happy and relaxed under her care. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

Megan was great as always. Kept us updated with pics.

Megan was great! Our pup was well cared for and she spent extra time making sure he was comfortable and happy, with photos and updates to us to make sure we were in the loop. We appreciate all the effort!

Megan provided excellent communication with lots of photos and videos. We would recommend her for sure.

She did such an amazing job looking after Lugnut. He’s a big, sensitive dog with some extra needs, so leaving him with someone isn’t always easy for us — but she made the whole experience feel calm and comfortable. She sent photos, kept us updated, and genuinely made me feel like I could relax knowing he was in good hands. Lugnut was clearly cared for, understood, and treated with kindness. We’re so thankful and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring with their pets.

Megan was an excellent dog sitter. She was easy to communicate with, responsive, and followed our dog's schedule and routine carefully. Her home provided a calm and comfortable environment, and it is located in a lovely area with great places for walks. We felt confident that our dog was well cared for and happy during the stay. We would not hesitate to recommend Megan to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter.

Schedule
Walks/drop-in visits: I am available for extra dog walks and drop-in visits on weekday afternoons from 1pm. Boarding: I work from home part-time but need to be out of the house for 1-4 hours 3 times a week, for work and errands/appointments. I always walk dogs before going out so they can relax until I get home, but this may not be suitable for dogs with separation anxiety. I like to keep to a structured routine, and I'm happy to adapt this to your pet's needs as much as physically possible including daily exercise that matches their energy level and keeping to their regular feeding schedule.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
My motto is safety first! While walking dogs I stay alert for potential risks and only use my phone to take pictures. I can't host reactive dogs in my home but I have experience safely walking reactive dogs. Home environment: I live on an unfenced property, so dogs who don't have reliable recall will need to stay on-leash. For the first day I do not let any dogs off-leash in order to establish trust. There are a couple neighbours nearby with dogs who are sometimes running loose. They are friendly but the environment is not be suitable for reactive dogs. I never leave dogs unattended outside. I keep my home tidy so there are no dangerous items or food that dogs may try to eat. I never leave dogs in the car on hot days.
A typical day
While boarding a dog I am happy to walk for an hour a day, and can do longer hikes a couple times a week. At home I love having a chill couch buddy, playing with toys or puzzles, and working on commands/tricks for treats. I find that this combination of physical exercise and mental stimulation keeps the dogs happy, calm, and reduces their stress being away from home. My main job is work from home, so your pet will not be lonely. I am available for drop-in visits and extra walks 2-3 afternoons per week.

- Please tell me as much about your pets as possible, especially allergies, any health concerns, and phobias or other quirks. Please make sure your dog’s flea and tick prevention and vaccines are up to date. I have experience working with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. I am happy to work with young, energetic dogs or seniors with some special needs. I endeavour to be consistent with your training/commands. I do not work with dogs with any history of aggression towards other animals or humans, or accept dogs that are not housebroken for boarding. I am not able to walk large dogs who pull on the leash, due to risk of injury.
