About Me Hi there! 👋 I’m Meg, a lifelong dog lover based near the Tantallon Plaza at Exit 5 on the 103. I’m home full time and absolutely love having furry friends around. I share my home with my gentle golden retriever/lab, Sunny, who gets along with everybody whether it's big dogs, small dogs, and even pups who have big emotions or are a bit shy. While you will notice it says our yard is unfenced, we have long metal leashes attached to the deck so they can go hang outside whenever they want and I will take them out to enjoy our acre and a half at least once throughout the day too in addition to regular walks. I know how stressful it can be to find a sitter you trust, and my goal is to make every dog (and owner) feel completely at ease. I keep a calm, loving environment, with plenty of playtime, walks, and snuggles. I treat every guest like family and so does Sunny. I have owned many pets, particularly rescued shelter pups, for most of my life and have trained them all myself. I have a car and live very close to several different vets in case of emergencies as well. Our Home & Routine Safe, cozy home environment (non-smoking, dog-proofed, no kids). Access to our acre and a half of land for bathroom trips and playing outside. Regular walks, outdoor play, and downtime on the couch. I’m home all day, so your pup gets lots of supervision and attention. Whether you’re looking for daytime care while you work or overnight boarding while you travel, your dog will feel safe and comfy. Experience I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds and temperaments, including seniors and rescues. I’m experienced with feeding schedules, meds, and slow introductions for more timid pups. We cannot recommend Megan enough! Leaving Chip for two weeks was a big deal for us because he can be an anxious boy, so we were worried he would be nervous the entire time. From the moment he arrived, Megan was so warm, kind, and loving that she made him feel completely at home. He settled into her routine so quickly and it was clear that he felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Chip had the best time with Megan. He got lots of exercise, attention, and snuggles, and it was obvious from the photos and updates that he was genuinely happy. Knowing he was having so much fun made it so much easier for us to relax and enjoy our time away. One thing we especially appreciated was Megan’s daily updates. They gave us so much peace of mind and it was wonderful to see how well Chip was doing each day. We are so grateful for the incredible care Megan gave Chip. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their dog like family, and we will definitely be booking with her again the next time we need a Rover!
Meg was great with our golden girls! It was the first time for us using Rover. Our first booking got cancelled near last minute and Meg was super responsive and jumped right in. She was very patient with our girls as they got used to her lovely lab Sunny (who is a sweetheart!). The girls were well loved, walked, and comfortable. And it showed in the photos! Highly recommend Meg to anyone needing a home away from home for their pups!
Megan was great! My Wife and I went to our daughter's graduation at Del and needed someone to take care of our 8 month old Siberian Husky, Eva. We are from a long distance away and were worried about who we could trust with Eva. After careful consideration, we decided to ask Megan as she would take Eva in her home, she has a beautiful dog of her own, and she has a good area to take the dogs outdoors. All day long Megan kept us very well update (with pictures) on how Eva was doing. I would definitely recommend Megan to anyone who is looking for a sitter. Also, Megan's dog is awsome! I would offer to take her anytime if Megan needed a sitter if she was in our area. Thank you Megan
Megan was absolutely amazing with Maeve. We had only adopted Maeve a few weeks before leaving for a 10-day trip, so we were a little nervous, but Megan put our minds at ease immediately. Maeve and Megan’s dog Sunny became best friends and spent 10 days playing, walking, and having adventures together. Megan sent detailed daily updates with tons of photos, taught Maeve new tricks, and was incredibly communicative throughout our trip. When Maeve had a minor foot injury, Megan handled it perfectly, kept us informed every step of the way, and made sure Maeve was well cared for. It was obvious Maeve was loved like one of her own dogs. We came home to a happy, tired pup and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’d book with Megan again in a heartbeat.
Megan walked our two dogs daily over a couple of weeks. She is a caring, lovely person and our dogs were comfortable with her right away. We really appreciated the daily notes and pics she sent. Thank you Megan! We would highly recommend!
Megan is the best! Our big dog George has an amazing time there with their dog, Sunny. We’ve had multiple stays now and it’s always a good experience, we get lots of photos and we feel like they love George like their own!

Schedule
I am a business owner and work from home 100% of the time. Since I own the company, I make my own hours and schedule on a daily basis. This enables Sunny and I to have tons of cuddles, time to play with her precious ball, and two long walks per day.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, supervised, and dog-friendly home where pups can relax and play safely. I’m home full time, so dogs are never left alone for long periods, and I carefully supervise all playtime and introductions. My super gentle golden lab, Sunny, helps new dogs feel comfortable and confident. I keep my home clean, secure, and free of hazards, with cozy resting spots and access to fresh water at all times. Whether we’re enjoying a walk around the neighborhood, at one of the nearby parks, or relaxing indoors, I treat every pet as if they were my own, with patience, affection, and consistent care.
Pets
A typical day
Sunny and I try to get in two long walks per day, usually around 30-45 mins each. We switch it up each time (usually depending on which way she wants to go as she is very opinionated) but go to one of the parks around us and on the second walk we usually find quiet culdesacs to explore. We have lots of toys to play with in the house and have a big open concept area so that pups can run and play in the house too. They are allowed to go outside and hang out anytime they want and usually once per day I will go outside in the yard with them to explore and play. Outdoor time is always followed up by an extensive tick check.
