Parlee Beach Dog Sitter
Hi! I'm Meg, and I'm a dog-loving Shediac local who adores giving pups a fun, safe place to stay while their humans enjoy the beach. I'm just five minutes from Parlee Beach, making it easy for vacationers to relax while their dog enjoys a little getaway of their own. I care for all breeds, seniors, special needs-dogs, and high-energy personalities. I provide plenty of enrichment through games, structured walks, and supervised outdoor play. If you're planning a longer vacation away from home, I also provide boarding services so you can enjoy your time away. During your vacation, I'll provide daily updates and photos of your pup so you can rest assured that they're having just as much fun as you are! I have been relied upon in the past to watch family and friends' dogs of all ages and sizes, including administering of medication, feeding, and bathing. I only ever take on one dog at a time, ensuring your pup gets all the attention they need over the course of their stay. My six year old sheepadoodle, Arlo, is friendly and easygoing with other dogs, but I can keep pups separate if needed so everyone feels comfortable. With beach and trail access right nearby, your dog gets thoughtful activity, one-on-one attention, and a fun, relaxed environment while you enjoy your ocean day.

Ratings and reviews
Meg has cared for two of my family dogs, Buster and Knox. Buster was my old miniature schnauzer, who she knew from when he was about 8 years old to his passing at age 17. During that time, my family could count on Meg to dog sit him for days at a time. We knew he was safe and comfortable with her. As an older dog, Buster required a higher level of care with medicine and oversight. Meg always gave Buster what he needed, and we knew he was happy with her. Meg is just as competent with my family's other dog, a lab-mix named Knox. Knowing her since puppyhood, Meg was great at managing Knox's higher energy needs, and working through her anxiety. Now that Knox is getting a little more mature, Meg is continuing to meet Know where she is at. I highly recommend Meg as a dog sitter.
Megan was awesome with our dog Frankie! We've had Megan take care of her multiple times in the last few years. She helped take care of Frankie when she was a puppy and even though Frankie could take some time to warm up to others, she was always very happy to be with Megan. As Frankie got a bit older, Megan was also great with handling her high energy and at times rambunctious nature. I would definitely recommend Megan, your dog will love her!
Meg is excellent with dogs, she is very attentive to their needs and adapts well to their different personalities. She is dependable and trustworthy. Her dog Arlo is sweet, energetic and playful; bound to make friends with any dog. Arlo was gentle with my mother in law's 13 year old Labrador when they were together for a couple days. I'd strongly recommend Meg and Arlo!! Truly a great duo that both you and your dog will love 😁
Meg took exceptional care of our geriatric shih tzu, Alfie. She made sure he got all of his daily medications as well as applying eye drops daily. Not only did she care for his medical needs she made sure he got lots of love and cuddles. I would recommend Meg to anyone who wants to know that their dog is being well cared for! Sally B
Meg is absolutely terrific with dogs! She looked after my corgi Butters while I was backpacking through the Scottish highlands. She made sure he got all the walks he needed and a good amount of play time! I would highly recommend Meg for any dog sitting you need

Schedule
Pet care is already woven right into my daily routine. I work part-time from home, so I'm around throughout the day to give your dog steady attention and plenty of activity. My own six-year old sheepadoodle, Arlo, keeps me on a great schedule - we do structured daily walks, trail adventures, fetch sessions, and supervised outdoor play. Visiting dogs simply fold into that rhythm, getting thoughtful engagement, calm downtime, and consistent routines. Whether your dog loves high-energy play or prefers gentle company, I make sure their day feels balanced, safe, and genuinely cared for.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Creating a safe and comfortable environment is the heart of how I care for dogs in my home. Dogs in my care join a calm, structured routine alongside my own dog, Arlo, a friendly and easygoing six-year old sheepadoodle. I tailor each stay to your dog's personality and comfort level - with quiet rest spaces, supervised outdoor play, enrichment activities, and the option to keep dogs separate whenever needed. My home is set up for predictable routines, gentle engagement, and lots of one-on-one attention. For walking services, I pick dogs up directly from their homes and follow their established routines to keep them feeling secure. Walks are structured, purposeful, and enriched with lots of sniffing opportunities and calm guidance. Whether a dog is staying with me in my home for an afternoon, a few days, or joining me for a walk, my focus is always the same: safety, trust, and a relaxed environment where every dog feels supported and genuinely cared for - perfect for dogs who need a little extra reassurance while travelling!

A typical day
Every day here is shaped around the dog I'm caring for - no two dogs have the same needs, so no two days look exactly alike. Before any stay or walk, I connect with owners to learn their dog's routine, energy level, comforts, and quirks. Once I know what helps them feel secure, I build their day around it. Some dogs thrive with extra play and enrichment, others prefer calm company and predictable structure.

- To ensure that your dog is ready for their stay, I like to know a few things ahead of time: their daily routine, command words (French or English), energy levels, and any quirks or comforts that help them feel at home. In addition, I ask that pet parents share feeding instructions and medication needs. I also like to know if your dog prefers space, enjoys one-on-one time, or has any anxieties or triggers. This helps me to tailor their experience to ensure that they have the best possible outcome.
