Intentional Care for Your Animals!

I have been growing up around dogs my whole life. As a child and into my teen years, I did the Dog project in 4-H for five years and helped lead the group. I have experience handling and training dogs for obedience and show environments, and I am comfortable with all pets! I have been house-sitting in the summers for many different dog-owners, so I am knowledgeable and experienced in providing care for these animals. My parents' dog (aka "my" dog) is a German Shorthaired Pointer and his name is Murphy. I spend a lot of time with him, and I have a special spot in my heart for all animals. I also spent a couple years co-parenting a little calico cat named Stitch with my best friend. I do also have some experience with reptiles, as I currently have one bearded dragon and one Pac-Man frog in my care. I am unable to have a dog or cat of my own at this stage in my life, due to money and living restraints, but I am thankful when I can spend time with others’ animals in this way. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend and give them lots of love!

Great experience with Megan! She took care of our mini schnauzer and cat for two weeks while staying at our house. She was respectful of our home, and most importantly she was loving and responsible with our kids. We’d love to rebook her again in the future.

Megan is great with my pets and very communicative! My dog loves to see her and my very shy cat warmed up to her right away. I appreciated all the picture updates while I was away!

We had a great experience with Megan. My dog was happy, had all his meds as prescribed and we had no complaints.

Schedule

I am currently a Graduate Admissions Specialist / DSO at the University of Idaho! This means that I do work full-time (8-5 with a 1-hour lunch break) on campus on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and I work full-time from home on Thursdays. I do not work weekends and am usually very available if I have not marked it off on my Rover calendar. If your animal is okay/used to being alone for the work day, or can be alone for 4-5 hours at a time, I am the fit for you during the week. I can provide drop-in visits before and after work, and on my lunch break, or I am happy to stay in your home, where I will care for your pet before and after my work day, and during my lunch break if that is most comfortable! If your pet requires more frequent attention, I might be your gal for a weekend trip! On the weekends, I do not work and have lots of time to hang around with your pet(s)! :)

I would love to know as much as possible about your dog. If your dog has special care needs, I would love as much detail about this as possible. Additionally, details such as your dog's likes/dislikes, rules for behavior, and typical routine will allow me to ensure the best possible care for your furry friend! I really appreciate written or typed notes, including contact information for your dog or cat’s vet or other trusted providers, so I am most well-equipped to care for your pets and keep them safe.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
