Intentional Care for Your Animals!
I have been growing up around dogs my whole life. As a child and into my teen years, I did the Dog project in 4-H for five years and helped lead the group. I have experience handling and training dogs for obedience and show environments, and I am comfortable with all pets! I have been house-sitting in the summers for many different dog-owners, so I am knowledgeable and experienced in providing care for these animals. My parents' dog (aka "my" dog) is a German Shorthaired Pointer and his name is Murphy. I spend a lot of time with him, and I have a special spot in my heart for all animals. I also spent a couple years co-parenting a little calico cat named Stitch with my best friend. I do also have some experience with reptiles, as I currently have one bearded dragon and one Pac-Man frog in my care. I am unable to have a dog or cat of my own at this stage in my life, due to money and living restraints, but I am thankful when I can spend time with others’ animals in this way. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend and give them lots of love!

Great experience with Megan! She took care of our mini schnauzer and cat for two weeks while staying at our house. She was respectful of our home, and most importantly she was loving and responsible with our kids. We’d love to rebook her again in the future.

Schedule
I am currently a Graduate Admissions Specialist / DSO at the University of Idaho! This means that I do work full-time (8-5 with a 1-hour lunch break) on campus on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and I work full-time from home on Thursdays. I do not work weekends and am usually very available if I have not marked it off on my Rover calendar. If your animal is okay/used to being alone for the work day, or can be alone for 4-5 hours at a time, I am the fit for you during the week. I can provide drop-in visits before and after work, and on my lunch break, or I am happy to stay in your home, where I will care for your pet before and after my work day, and during my lunch break if that is most comfortable! UPDATE: I have moved to Lewiston, ID as of 7/31/2026. I still commute to work in Moscow, ID for the time being, but will be available in the mornings before work and evenings after. I am currently looking for a full-time remote job or position located in Lewiston. I will update this section once my employment situation changes! If your pet requires more frequent attention, I might be your gal for a weekend trip! On the weekends, I do not work and have lots of time to hang around with your pet(s)! :)

At the moment I am not able to be boarding at my own address, and I am open to house-sitting after I have established a positive face-to-face relationship with each client. I will adhere to any and all established rules and routines for animals in their home to provide the most comfortable and safe experience that is possible.
A typical day
I would love to provide an array of activity options for your dog. I do a lot of hiking and walking in my free time, so I would love to take high energy dogs out with me on walks, hikes, and/or runs. I would love to take your animal on play dates or to the dog park if they are more social and friendly. I am happy to transport dogs with my vehicle for these activities with reimbursement for gas. We can explore some new places and play with favorite toys! If your pup(s) would rather take a snooze inside, I'm happy to curl up with a book alongside them. This also applies to feline friends! I enjoy playing inside with cats and can provide whatever level of engagement they need for their happiness and comfort. Also, I do engage in photography as a hobby, and would love to try to get some candid shots of your animal for you!
