Full-time Pet Mom and Pet Retreat
I only host one pet at a time (unless they are from the same household) to ensure all pet guests are adequately entertained and attended to. I have been caring for pets for over 20 years and self-employed for 10 which allows me the greatest gift of being with my precious critters 24/7. I have extensive experience as a senior / special needs pet mom, and they are the nearest and dearest to my heart. My highest priority is to keep your pet safe, happy, and healthy while in my care.

Megan is an attentive, communicable host, with a spotless home and a beautiful large safe property! She reads directions closely and offers detailed check-ins when our dogs are away. She also has an excellent creek behind her house which I didn’t realize at first! Her dog is friendly and I would definitely book again with her
Megan was wonderful! We felt confident and at ease leaving Louise with Megan for the day. When it was time for pick-up Louise was so comfortable she didn't want to leave!
I trust Megan completely when my pups stay with her. Her home is lovely and clean, and the walking trails in the back that lead to the creek are awesome for outdoor fun during stays. She’s always great at communication and sending regular updates, and she treats our pups just like the family members they are to us.
Megan has taken excellent care of our very “spirited” Wiredhair Pointing Griffon, Daisy, many times while we were away. She has so much fun and is so loved when in Megan’s care that she doesn’t want to get in the car to leave! Megan follows all the special feeding instructions to the letter and never misses a text update. We highly recommend her as a caregiver to any special pet.
Megan truly has a heart for animals. From breaking frozen pond water in freezing conditions for thirsty cattle, to snaring an injured duck off the road (then nursing back to health and finding a home for), to saving her Texas blue heeler Lou from neglection, and bringing him home to NY, not to mention also rescuing Barry, her beloved snaggletooth feline friend. So yes, Megan will take good care of your loved pet, and you will feel confident that she will provide special love and attention while you're away.

I am self-employed part-time and work remotely. When pet guests are present, all of my time will be spent alongside your fur baby with the possible exception of a quick errand.

The home is a cute and spacious two story, 3-bedroom Greek Revival cottage on 3 lush acres with walking trails and creek access in Delancey, NY. I am pet mom to a 6-year-old friendly, quirky, neutered ACD named Lou. Your pampered pets can be kept separate from Lou, and cats are offered their own exclusive area on the second floor, if necessary. Visiting cats and dogs are welcome to roam and to sleep anywhere they feel comfortable. Guests have their choice of a raised bed with squishy blanket, an open crate with cozy poof and any of the furniture. This is a cozy, cuddly, "pets in bed" kind of household, so arrangements can be made for Lou to sleep with my hubby, and pet guests can snuggle up with me overnight, if that's what is best for your pet.

For outdoor exploration and enrichment, boarding includes: - Daily leashed walks on our property’s maintained walking trails shared by the local wildlife - Nature-sniffing and sunbathing in the perennial garden - Supervised summer splash-time and wading in the fresh waters of our backyard Catskill Mountain creek - Secure, enclosed outdoor “catio” with indoor-outdoor access for our feline friends Boarding also includes lots of one-on-one attention and all the cuddles they want. Luxurious, warm water baths in the clawfoot tub with Vermont Soap Organic Pet Shampoo are available year-round for dogs weighing up to 50 pounds. Outdoor baths are offered to dogs of all sizes when temps are above 78 degrees. Outdoor baths are complimentary to pup boarders. If your cat enjoys being brushed, I’ll happily oblige!
