Availability
This is what I do for a living, so I have a lot of availability to care for your pets when you schedule a booking with me. I look forward to working with them. I successfully completed a 6-week Continuing Education: Veterinary Assistant 111 Practical Skills course, that started in January, 2024 and ended in March, 2024. I have a photo of my certificate of the course completion included in the photo section of my Rover account. It is NOT a degree or the same as a Vet-Tech Assistant. It’s a Continuing Education course I took to help give me more general knowledge so that I can provide the best care for dogs and cats both at work (Rover) and at home. This is also true for the Continuing Education: Pet Care Technician class I took, where I successfully completed and got my certification as a Basic Canine and Feline Provider through IBPSA (International Boarding and Pet Sitting Association) on May 7th, 2025. I also have business liability insurance for this specific type of work, through The Travelers Companies, Incorporated; Although, I’m not also bonded.

I will be caring for your pet(s) in your home for boarding, and walking your dog(s) in your neighborhood making sure they are getting the proper love and care that they need. This includes if they need to be fed(ALWAYS with proper before and after resting time), given medication, brushed, cleaning and refreshing water/food bowls, etc. I absolutely enjoy being around animals. Also, I do not smoke or use any tobacco products, so you will not have to worry about me having any of these on your property or around your pet(s).
Information Megan K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know what your dog needs and if they require special care. If they have any type of aggression(food, fence, toy or human possessiveness, other pets, humans, leash, etc.) anxiety, health problems(seizures, blindness, deafness, heart conditions, pancreatitis, requires a lift harness to walk, etc.), triggers(loud noises, thunderstorms, sudden movements, etc.), specific need to know behaviors(chasing cars, chewing shoes and other non toy items, climber, fence jumper, escape risk, etc.), if they take medications and what they are for, known ALLERGIES, feeding instructions, require special care (For example: wiping to prevent UTIs, help walking, teeth brushed, more frequent bathroom breaks, need to be crated at any given time, etc.), if your dog has ever had bloat before and requires more resting time after meals, etc. !IMPORTANT!: Depending on size, age, and previous bloat experience please allow at least 30 minutes to an hour of resting time after meals before your scheduled walk to best avoid possible bloat that would result in severe discomfort and emergency surgery. Also waiting at least 30 minutes to feed your dog a meal after a walk or vigorous exercise is ideal for helping prevent bloating issues. If you often have bears visit your neighborhood, a forewarning is also appreciated to help with awareness. Thank you so much for your cooperation! I look forward to working with you and your fur baby/babies. In the case that you need to cancel a booking, I do NOT charge a cancellation fee. I just ask that you cancel as soon as you know that you will not need my services, so that someone else can book those dates if they need to. Thank you! :) My HOLIDAY rate is the same as my STANDARD rate for both dog and cat care, meaning that I DO NOT charge extra for holidays. If I need to adjust the booking price to match this, I will. It should automatically adjust to standard dog/cat care rates during holidays since my holiday rates are blank. My puppy rate is also the same as my standard dog rate, meaning that I DO NOT charge more for puppies than I do for adult dogs. :)
A typical day

Providing Loving Care For Your Pets
Pet care experience
My 25 dollar walking/drop-in fee, automatically includes an hour of total walking/care instead of just 30 minutes. For house sitting, I can provide 0-2 hour potty breaks if needed while I’m there. I may leave for a couple to a few hours periodically during the house sitting stay, depending on the care your pet(s) require. We can discuss this in more detail during our meet and greet. As a general rule, I do not stay gone for longer than 4 hours at a time unless I get permission to stay out longer if needed. Here is my $20 off Rover promo code for first time Rover users: MEGANK51101 I worked in the Dog Day Care and Boarding business for a year and seven months providing loving care for dogs of all ages and sizes, and a few cats. My duties included watching dogs in the yard as they play, feeding, bathing, cleaning kennels, providing fresh water, laying down bedding, making sure dogs got out within a decent time frame, running dogs to their owners, washing and cleaning bedding, picking up poop, cleaning up messes, basic medical care, medicine administration, making sure they had what they needed, giving them lots of love, reading to them, preventing possible dog fights as well as separating dog fights, reading dog body language, etc. Prior to working in the kennel business, I helped take care of dogs for friends and family as well as my own. This included walking, feeding, basic medical care, and providing them with a lot of love and attention.
Reviews

We left Megan with our baby for 10 days while we were overseas. He had such a great time, and we got pictures of his days throughout our vacation. We came back to a spotless house and a very happy pup, will absolutely be booking Megan for our next out of town stay!

Did a fabulous job with my nervous baby, my needy baby, and my senior baby with dementia. Super communicative and sent many pix (which helped when I missed them!).

Megan stepped in on short notice and took wonderful care of our two dogs and two kittens. She was thoughtful and attentive, making sure all of their needs were met. She even brushed the dogs’ teeth, cleaned the cats’ water fountain, and sent plenty of great photos while we were away. When we came home, the house was tidy and all of the animals were happy and relaxed. She also kept me well informed with detailed updates about meals and their daily activities. She was a pleasure to work with, and I would gladly book her again.

Megan goes above and beyond!
