My name is Megan and I look forward to caring for your fur babies! I love animals. I have an adorable and loving dog at home, and have had dogs in the house since I was eight years old. I sincerely believe that our pets bring an immeasurable amount of joy to our lives and deserve to be spoiled! I'm super flexible and will honor all of your requests. My goal when your pet is in my care is to minimize the variance from your household schedule. Any time not spent at the house is restricted to only necessary tasks and the shortest time away as possible (i.e. picking up groceries). I will walk your dogs, play and cuddle, and make sure they are relaxed and happy. My home is a SAFE environment for your dog. I bring 20 years of personal pet care experience, and 8 years experience caring for other people’s animals with several repeat customers. You will be able to relax while away from home, knowing your baby is in safe, experienced hands.

Great communication and wonderful to work with! My corgi had so much fun! We received one photo/video daily and we didn’t have to worry about him at all.
Megan was amazing with Gus and Riley for a weeklong stay with her. She was incredibly organized, communicated very well and promptly, made sure she provided us with a list of care items and questions she’d need during their stay, and sent us lots of updates with pictures. She made sure she understood our dogs well during the meet and greet too. Would highly recommend her, and we’ll definitely be going with her as our go-to dog sitter!
We did a meet and greet prior to booking, and Megan and her dog seemed to be a good fit for my dog Zoey. Both dogs ran around and played during our visit. Megan is very sweet and easy going. She does have multiple dogs at once, something to keep in mind (may not be an issue for others). Megan sent us a picture a day with a one sentence update on how she was doing, which I really appreciated. I was told Zoey got protective and lashed out at Megan’s dog, and that same day she reported the incident to me and asked us to have Zoey picked up. Zoey can be protective over our kiddos which we informed Megan of, but has never ever bitten other dogs or humans ever. I was stunned to hear that report. As I was not there, I do not know what occurred or how Megan handled it. As I said before, Megan seemed very sweet but I am not sure she has much knowledge of dog behavior, how to handle it, or knowledge of training. Megan is probably a better fit for very easy dogs, that do not require any behavior awareness or prevention. We were out of town on a family vacation. This was stressful to say the least, and we used Rover for the first time because everyone we knew was out of town at the time, and we wanted to try a more personal experience instead of doggy daycare. I had to scramble and make multiple calls/texts walking around Disneyland with my family in order to make other arrangements. Given the huge hassle and stress this caused, I am not sure we will be using Rover again at this point. I’m surprised there is no back up plan if/when situations arise. We will probably go back to using a local doggy daycare again as we never had an issue there with Zoey’s behavior or being asked to pick her up while we’re out of town.

Schedule
I work from home in a hybrid role. I go to the office 1x/week, but have a lot of flexibility on that if needed. Please ask me if you would like more details on what that looks like. I will do my best to work my schedule around yours and your dog's needs. In return, I ask that you respect all agreed upon time frames.

We have a huge fenced in back yard with trees and lots of room to play chase. My front yard is also fenced, which provides extra security for any front door bolters.
Pets
A typical day
I work from home most of the week. Because of this your dog will get lots of attention and plenty of bathroom breaks. We will play often and spend as much time outdoors as possible. During the summer, I enjoy reading outside as well so your pet will get plenty of fresh air.

- I love all dogs, any breed or size and am looking forward to getting to meet yours! The most important thing I need to know is if your dog gets along well with dogs that are not part of their family unit. I will schedule a meet and greet with you ahead of time so that I can meet your dog, they can meet my dog, and we can discuss the following in more detail: 1. Your dog's general feeding/potty/play schedule 2. Their temperament/energy level. Do they have anxiety? 3. How they interact with other dogs when playing and when around food/toys 3. Any medications or special needs that I should be aware of 4. Bad Habits to watch out for (especially digging/chewing/marking) 5. Any other pertinent information that will help me better care for your dog.
