Experienced Reactive Dog Carer
I've always been around dogs, ever since I was young and my family used to foster them for the cinnamon trust. In 2021 we adopted a Romanian rescue called Barney, and his behavioural quirks have lead me to specialise in reactive and anxious dogs. I have lots of experience with reactive, anxious and aggressive dogs, whether it's just leash frustration, fear or genuine aggression. I have several different approaches I will take to gain your dog’s trust, and will do my best to help you with any issues you’re facing. I will always take things at the dog’s pace, to make sure they’re fully comfortable with me. I also have plenty of experience managing a large dog who lunges at others, and my partner is also fully insured and first aid trained, if you would like him to accompany me on walks for larger breeds. I understand the stress of finding a dog walker who can handle a reactive or aggressive dog, and know how worrying it can be trusting your dog to someone new. I will do everything I can to ensure both you and your pup are fully comfortable with me. IMPORTANT NOTE: my housesitting rate is based on an overnight stay from 8pm-8am, with a 1 hour drop in in the middle of the day. I offer constant care at a varied rate, which is tailored to the needs of each dog. Alternatively you can book extra drop ins/walks separately.

I adore playing with dogs! I spend a lot of time making enrichment toys for Barney, and teaching him silly little tricks, so your dog will never get bored! I’m happy to take dogs on walks, prepare licky mats for them or hide treats around the house for some ‘sniff and seek’. On a walk, I will usually avoid other dogs. This includes crossing roads, turning back on myself or rerouting as necessary. I have no issues dealing with any kind of reaction your dog may have, and after 4 years of having a reactive dog, I’m a pro at spotting dogs coming our way from a mile away!
Ratings and reviews
Megan looked after our border collie for 2 weeks in our home while we were on holiday. He is quite an anxious chap so we wanted someone experienced so we could relax and not worry about him. Megan was that person! She was brilliant from start to finish, took time to meet him and walk him with us before the sit. She kept in daily contact with us with updates and photos of their adventures together. She even did some training with him which was great! I would highly recommend Megan to anyone, and will definitely be using her services should I need to in the future . Thank you Megan!
Megan was great and would highly recommend her. Communication was great, my pets loved seeing her each day, and we had lovely pictures. Thank you so much for looking after them so well. I will definitely be booking again with Megan.

Megan did a great job again, daily updates, met all of the pets needs. We would definitely recommend, thank you ☺️

Megan stepped in at short notice to look after our two boys. She was very professional and spent time with l them as well as the usual feeding and litter cleaning. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and professional cat sitter.

Megan was excellent all round. Our foster puppy can be a handful and is wary of new people but Megan managed to get him out and enjoying his walks. We received lots of updates and felt very reassured that Megan could deal with any reactivity/frustration. We will definitely re-book with Megan if needed in the future. Thank you!

Amazing over all. Megan came to see Nova before I left, and put me very much at ease about the whole process. She managed to get him to come and say hello during her visits which as nova is a very shy cat I was extremely impressed with. Good pictures and updates sent on both visits, over all very happy :)

Schedule
This is my full time business at the moment, and I’m starting training to become a dog behaviourist. We’ve just moved up to the South Yorkshire area, after spending the last year and a half travelling around Europe and Asia. I’m super flexible on times, and can work around most peoples schedules.
- Cats0 to 7 kg7 to 18 kg18 to 45 kgover 45 kgMegan can host up to 4 drop-ins per day
- Ahead of time, I’d ask you let me know about your dogs temperament. As I’ve already said, I have a lot of experience with reactive dogs, but will need to know in advance what type of reactive they are, if they’re aggressive etc, and where their threshold is (how close a dog has to be before they react). I’ll also need to know any routines your dog has, and any medications and special requests!
