Safety, trust & environment

I always start off by welcoming your fur baby. I understand they are extremely excited and ready to go outside, so that’s the first thing we would do. Depending on the dog, we can either go for a short walk or a very long one. If they need LOTS of exercise, we could always play ball or go to a dog park as well if needed. When we get back from the walk, they’ll get lots of love and whatever else they may need during my visit. I want to make sure that they always have a great time and are exhausted by the end of the visit.

Information Megan H. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if they are good with other dogs, things they dislike, and what’s their favorite treats/toys/etc. Also, I’d like to know if they need any medicine and if so, is there a specific time during the day that I should give them the medicine.

A typical day

A typical day would be first going on a long walk in the morning. If I’m watching them for a long period of time, we can always go to a dog park or a dog store, if they like to socialize. They’ll get lots of pets, lots of play time, and I will update you with photos and how they’re doing for each visit.

Pet care experience

Hello, my name is Megan and I am 26 years old. I lived in New Jersey previously and when I was 17 I started my own dog sitting/walking/and boarding business until I moved out to Los Angeles in 2020 for another career path. I decided to move back here to NJ because I realized that continuing my pet sitting business is my absolute dream career. The pictures of dogs included on my Rover page are dogs I have taken care of. I had over 80 clients on my own and hired another individual to work with me when I was first in New Jersey. I’m an animal lover who believes that although this may be a job, it’s more of a hobby for me to be able to play, walk, and spend time with dogs. My first time I boarded a dog was when I was 8 years old, the puppy cried all night and I had to sleep on the floor next to his crate every night for a week to keep him calm. I always want to make dogs as happy as possible. A few years ago I lost my Golden Retriever. When she passed, I also volunteered for the Golden Retriever Rescue Inc and fostered Goldens. And from then I started a dog sitting business in NJ. I have a dog named Lucy and I rescued her from the meat trade. She flew from South Korea to Los Angeles and I’ve had her for the past 5 years. I am not able to do any boarding in my home at this time. She does not get along with a lot of dogs in her space. I’m also very into photography, so your pet will be getting a photoshoot with me! Some of my favorite work are shown in my photos on Rover and my Instagram which is down below. Want to see what dogs I’ve watched and want to see how your dog is doing in my care? My instagram is: megansdogsitting

Megan handled our elderly, anxious pooch with no trouble and arrived right on time. Highly recommended.

My experience with Rover has been either exceptional or not so great. Megan is in that exceptional category. I knew the minute I walked into the house, Casper would be well taken care of and loved. She sent pictures to me as requested and he was a happy boy when I picked him up, I don't think he wanted to leave! You won't go wrong with Megan!

Megan H was an excellent dog sitter. She loves dogs and was available to sit Dexter when we need it. She was kind, and caring and loving with Dexter. He had the run of the house as he does in our house and that made him comfortable. Megan H has an inviting home and large fenced in yard that added to Dexter's comfort. We would certainly use Megan again.
