Pet care is my full time job! So I have a lot of flexibility and it is my top priority to provide your pet all the love and attention they need. I am able to tailor my schedule to your pet's and would only need to be away for a few hours at a time for overnight pet sittings.

Keeping your pets safe and secure is my top priority. If they are escape artists, I am extra vigilant with doors, and I use a waist leash to prevent any dropped leash mishaps. I am also very careful about keeping human food out of reach from dogs, particularly those super toxic ones like chocolate, avocado, onion, xylitol etc

I would like to know about your dog's typical behavior, mannerisms, strong likes or dislikes, any health issues or behavioral problems. I enjoy most all dog breeds but have a particular soft spot for boxers, doodles, and golden retrievers. But I may be biased; I have a golden doodle who will brighten up the grayest of days and a boxer mix who is my forever bestest friends and will carry any burden for you. Unfortunately they currently live with my parents, not me. Over the years my family has had a number of golden retrievers who were all so very fun and loving; I have always had a particular connection with the breed. I am happy to take care of your feline friends as well as most all friendly creatures. I adore small rodents; I acquired years of experience taking caring of a whole family line of hamsters growing up. I do however draw the line at snakes, spiders, and similar creepy crawly things.

If your pup is into adventuring, I enjoy taking dogs along for beautiful hikes in the blue ridge, or swimming at one of the many swimming holes in the area. My tennis ball/frisbee/stick throwing arm never gets tired; I enjoy playing fetch nearly as much as they do. If a good cuddle on the couch is more your dog's speed, that will go on the itinerary, as I am a professional doggie cuddler. I tailor activities to each dog's individual needs and preferences.

Being the animal lover I am, I always strive to provide optimal care, love, and friendship for any animal that I'm working with and treat them as my own. I have had the pleasure of serving the pets of Rover since the fall of 2016 and have completed a wide range of pet sitting jobs over the years. I worked for a pet sitting company called Petsitters of Charlotte for over a year, which involved dog walking/feeding jobs, as well as overnight house stays, and caring for cats. In addition, I have cared for dogs of several long time family friends on a regular bases. I have experience caring for hamsters, rabbits, fish, birds, chickens, and horses as well. I grew up with dogs in the family and have been around them my whole life. I am comfortable working with both large and small, the old and young, and the not so nice ones. I lead a pretty active lifestyle; I am an avid hiker and enjoy it even more with a dog by my side. I have such an immense love for dogs; they have been a really significant part of my life and continue to be so. It has been such an incredible experience working in the pet service industry the past few years and having the opportunity to meet and make friends with so many special doggie friends. I look forward to adding yours to the repertoire! I am extremely detail oriented and strive to do every task I'm appointed to the best of my ability. I would love to know in detail what your expectations and requirements are for your pet's care. In addition, I'm happy to do other tasks to keep your home up and running while you're away such as watering plants and bringing in mail. I limit the amount of clients I accept at a time to ensure that your pet receives the focused individualized attention they deserve. I am committed to making sure that your pet has the time of their life while you are gone and am able to stay at your home for most of the day if need be. *For housesitting, a travel fee of $5 will be added for locations more than 5 miles away and $8 for 10 miles away. I am not able to service areas further than 12 miles away.* I'm more than happy to do a complimentary meet and greet with you and your pet before you book to make sure we're a good fit.

We had such a great experience with Megan as our pet sitter! She took wonderful care of our two dogs, Carnaby and Rocket, and we could tell they were in loving, capable hands from the start. She was incredibly professional, a great communicator, and went above and beyond to make sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for while we were away. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were with someone so attentive and caring. Highly recommend and would absolutely book with her again!

Megan you are fantastic! I’m so grateful for the care you provided for my Ruby so that I could attend a wedding and welcome event. Ruby suffered a critical illness prior to our travel that required Megan to dispense medication and monitor her closely. She sent me updates and photos and I knew I could trust her. And thankfully She was flexible with the event schedule . If i ever come to Asheville again I am definitely booking her again. Thanks so much!
