Thank you for taking great care of Luna again!!

I booked Megan for housesitting to look after my 14 year old cat for a week. I told her that he was fine during the day because he was used to being alone during the day. While we didn’t agree on a specific time, she would not show up until 9pm. I also requested regular updates and I receive pictures the first 3 days and then didn’t hear anything from her at all. I have a pet cam and would check to see what time she would come, which is why I know it would be approximately 9pm. I noticed on the Friday night that she did not come at all. She left Friday morning at noon and didn’t come back. I sent her a message on Saturday morning asking how my cat was. She sent me a picture at that moment. I don’t know when that picture was taken because she had not been there in about 24 hours. I told her that it seemed like she hadn’t been there and that’s when she told me she had an emergency with her dog. That is completely understandable but a head’s up would have been appreciated. I was disappointed that when I asked her how my cat was, she did not mention this immediately and I don’t think she would have had I not said anything. I asked her when she was going to arrive and I was told “sometime in the afternoon”. She once again did not return until approximately 9pm. I messaged her after 7pm to say that it was the evening and asked what time she was going to come. No response. I messaged her an hour and a half later to say that I hadn’t heard from her and still not response for another 20 minutes. My cat was alone for 33 hours. Never in his entire 14 years had he ever been alone for that long. I trusted her with the most important part of my life and she broke that trust. Some may say that it was wrong to check the camera but I’m glad that I did. I don’t think there would have been honesty with her not showing up one entire night. I do understand and can definitely work through emergencies. What I cannot work through is the lack of honesty about it. It was a lie through omission when she sent me the photo right away when it had been obvious that she wasn’t there. I’m truly sad to say that I wouldn’t use her again.
