Information Megan H. would like to know about your pet

I need to know if your pets are vaccinated, are house trained, if they are spayed/neutered and what their care instructions are.

A typical day

When your dog stays with us, they are free to enjoy our giant 1/2 acre fenced yard as well as our home! Most dogs we board like to spend most of their time playing outside and come in for naps, etc. but some like spending their time inside and we can accommodate both. We play A LOT of fetch and spend a bunch of time outside playing with the dogs everyday. We also have a huge sandbox that some of our furry guests enjoy digging and playing in so please let me know if you want me to keep them out of it for any reason. We always have beef bones on hand for chewing but we don’t offer raw hide or any other type of bones the dogs could choke on. We also give them grain free treats and dental bones but we can follow any instructions if your dog has allergies, etc. We don’t allow dogs on our furniture or our bed but we have sometimes made exceptions if we feel they are struggling staying off or need a space away from other dogs or children. Most of them don’t have a problem learning a new set of rules during their stay, though. We give every dog a lot of love and snuggles if that’s what they’re into and will treat them like a member of our family while they’re with us. If you are boarding a puppy in training, we are very good at helping with that and they actually learn even more by following our dog’s around.

*DOG BOARDING INFO... Dogs I board here have access to our 1/2 acre yard and we have a large doggy door that goes into a large mud/laundry room. When the dogs are out wanting to play, they let themselves in and out as they see fit. In the mud room, I have four extra large crates, one large and a couple mediums I add if needed lining the walls. Each crate has a plush crate pad and cover. The crates are for the dogs who like their own space at night and a lot of the time, even if dogs don’t use crates at home, they enjoy having their own space at night while here. For dogs who don’t use crates or have any anxieties with them, they sleep on dog beds in the open floor space in the mud room. If they are having a hard time sleeping or are not comfortable there, we bring them into our bedroom to sleep. A lot of the time, when I have dogs here I’ve known forever who get along with each other great, I will let them choose where they sleep by keeping the crates open. Even when I do that, they each typically take their own crate. I also let dogs inside the main portion of the house on a rotation throughout the day so I don’t have a lot of dogs in here at once with my kids. Most of them don’t care to be inside with me as much because they like going outside to play but I do try to stay aware of them. If they don’t go out much to play and just wait by the door, I’ll have them be inside with me more often. (Most smaller dogs stay inside with me most of the day) Each dog is fed their own food separately in their crate and I don’t ever leave their food out for others to get into, etc. It’s a pretty good setup and most dogs really love being here. *BOOKING INFO... Please book in advance if at all possible. I have regular clients I will always try to make space for but if you are a new client and have vacations coming up, please message in advance so I can have your dog over to play for a couple free hours. That is the best way for me to gauge how they’ll do when they’re boarded here. On busy weekends, I don’t always have time to send individual pictures to owners. Thank you for your consideration! 🐾💛🐾

We have used Megan every year for our vacations. She is the only place we trust completely will take our babies to stay and know we don't have to worry about them one bit. They have a blast every time and are excited to go. Megan always responds right away and sends pictures. We can also watch videos she posts on Instagram for us as well. We will always use her services when she's available. I will ALWAYS HIGHLY RECOMMEND Megan to anyone that asks. She's amazing!!

Megan was a wonderful dog-sitter. We had to leave town last minute for a funeral and she was gracious enough to watch our younger dog. She made sure he was well taken care of! And, the socialization seemed a positive experience for our dog vs. placing him at a kennel option. Thank you Megan!
