I currently work full-time as a Veterinary Assistant at a veterinary hospital, which allows me to gain valuable hands-on experience caring for animals every day. While I do have a regular work schedule, I maintain a flexible availability outside of work and do my best to accommodate my clients’ needs whenever possible. I am available for mornings, evenings, weekends, and many holidays, and I am happy to discuss scheduling to find the best fit for you and your pet. Clear communication is important to me, and I always make sure pet owners know exactly when their pets will be receiving care. My veterinary background also gives me the ability to provide reliable care for pets who need medications, extra monitoring, or special attention while their owners are away. I am committed to making sure your pet receives quality care, consistency, and plenty of love, even when life gets busy.

About Megan G.

Safety, trust & environment

Outside of work, I rescued my own dog, which further strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, individualized care for every pet I meet. I understand that every animal has unique needs, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, overnight care, medication administration, or just plenty of attention and affection, I will treat them as if they were my own. My goal is to provide reliable, professional care and give you peace of mind knowing your pet is in experienced and loving hands.

Information Megan G. would like to know about your pet

To provide the best possible care, I’d love to know as much as I can about your pet before our visit. Please let me know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite activities, and any behavioral quirks or triggers they may have. If your pet has any medical conditions, allergies, mobility concerns, anxiety, or requires medications, please provide details so I can ensure they receive the proper care and attention. As a Veterinary Assistant, I am comfortable administering medications and caring for pets with special medical needs. I would also appreciate knowing how your pet interacts with new people, other animals, and any commands or training cues they respond to. The more information you can share, the better I can help your pet feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away.

A typical day

A typical day is tailored to each pet’s individual needs and routine. For dogs, this usually includes potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, fresh water, and plenty of attention and affection throughout the day. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, fetch, enrichment activities, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll do my best to maintain their normal routine and keep them happy and comfortable. For cats, I provide feeding, fresh water, litter box maintenance, playtime, enrichment, and companionship at their pace. Some cats love interactive play and attention, while others prefer a quieter environment, and I always respect their personalities and preferences. Because I work as a Veterinary Assistant, I’m also comfortable monitoring pets for any changes in behavior, appetite, or health and can administer medications if needed. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and cared for while giving you peace of mind when you’re away.

Pet care experience

Hi! My name is Megan, and caring for animals has been a lifelong passion of mine. I’ve been around and caring for pets since I was 6 years old, and I genuinely love building relationships with animals of all ages and personalities. I currently work at a veterinary hospital as a Veterinary Assistant, where I care for dogs, cats, and other pets every day. My veterinary experience allows me to confidently administer medications, recognize signs of illness or discomfort, and provide attentive care for pets with special medical needs. I have experience caring for senior pets, energetic puppies, and animals that require extra patience, monitoring, or medication.
