Love and Patience for every animal

Hello! I am so happy for the opportunity to look after your pets. I really miss my girl back home in Nebraska. Her name is Lucy and she's an English Springer Spaniel. When people say they have a high energy dog, I know I can handle it because I've experienced the real deal. Walks everyday. Ball and fetch every other. Plus adhering to strict feeding mixtures and schedules for a sensitive tummy. I understand that pets aren't an accessory, they are a member of the family and deserve to be treated as such. I have been pet sitting for two years now. I grew up with dogs and engaged all kinds of breeds of varying sizes. I currently work at Howie's Doggie Daycare part-time, which has allowed me to observe and understand canine behavior in real time. Being able to read a dog is very important for gaining their trust. Outside of work I have been helping a Boxer-Mastif mix with Degenerative Myelopathy. He has trouble walking, but I have had no trouble with holding him to go to the bathroom or get from room to room. I've even put him in a pet harness to make sure he still gets to experience the joy of walking. Sure there's extra messes every so often (that's what Natures Miricle is for), but it's worth it to make sure he's content and nourished in his senior years. I am hoping for some extra money on the side from walking dogs, but I'm not in it just for that. I truly care and love all animals. I want to fill the void of missing my own pup by making yours as happy and comfortable as possible.

Megan is absolutely wonderful! My timid cat was instantly smitten with her. He usually hides. It's truly heartwarming to see them bond so quickly. She has such a special way with animals, creating a safe and loving environment. I highly recommend her services to any pet parent.

Drop-In Visits • Dec 31, 2024

Megan is a godsend! This was my first time hiring a professional sitter and being for a week, it was the longest I was leaving my 2 cats alone. Megan not only came over for a meet n greet, but when one of my cats was unexpectedly prescribed an oral med for the week of my trip, she came over twice to practice (and was a natural!) She is so sweet and professional and I didn’t have to worry about my kitties once, she checked in every day with pics and I got to enjoy my trip. She even came over the day after to drop off my keys as I forgot to tell her where to leave them. Megan is the definition of ABOVE AND BEYOND! Can’t wait to hire her again and recommending her to every fur parent I know!

Megan was fantastic and went out of her way to stay with my dog Lily when our flight was delayed. She's very proactive with her communication and sends regular updates along the way. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliant, safe and caring option for their dog.

Megan is amazing! Our lil pup is on the anxious side with strangers but she takes the time to make him comfortable and we feel so safe with him in her care. Thank you, Megan!

Megan was my first ever sitter since adopting my dog and cat and she may have ruined me with how amazing she was. Megan is an EXCELLENT communicator, letting me know what was going on with the guys, exercising them, playing with them and just being an overall amazing sitter. My dog is a terrier mix and he can be a little barky and takes time to warm up but Megan was super patient. She also was just extraordinarily respectful of my space. I genuinely loved her service and hope she can keep watching Benito and Simon should the need arise. I can’t recommend her enough.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a house with one other dog. He is a 10-year-old silky terrier who is very laid back with other dogs. I have the biggest room in the house with a door that has direct access to our back yard. During the days I'm sitting at my desk working.

Pets

A typical day

I'm down for a walk, game of fetch, tug of war. I'm even good to give your dog a much needed bath if they happen to get into some doggy trouble. (I'll leave nail trims and grooming to the professionals).

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
Dogs over 1 year old
No females in heat
Megan can host up to 2 pets per night
Dietary Restrictions, Medication, and Medical Issues are an absolute must. Additionally I would like to know what their stamina and temperament is. Just because a dog loves to GO doesn't mean they should until they drop. And, just because a dog is friendly to strangers does not mean they're friendly to other dogs. If your dog has pests such as fleas I am willing to work with them in your own home (but not in mine). It will be an additional charge on a case by case basis.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
