Excited to love on your loved one ☆
I will do anything for your loved one! I have taken care of kittens, puppies, adults, seniors + super seniors❣️I even trained this 3-dog family how to poop outside over the period of a week. I have stayed with doggies while their humxn works on their separation anxiety with them. I have a ton of experience with anxious dogs, including reactive! And a ton of experience with kitties :-) Special Needs Experience: FeLV, reactivity, aggression, anxiety, separation anxiety, GI, blindness, toothlessness, bladder cancer, back injury, FIV. I am that person that has been called a Cat Whisperer AND Dog Whisperer (on multiple accounts, each!)! Clients (and myself) think all nonhumxn animals can sense my love and care for them, because they all relax around me! I can’t share how many times I have had clients tell me their dog likely won’t poop with me at that time of day they have me walk them, and how it has turned into them pooping with me every time! Even when I worked at a pet hospital! Your animals will feel at ease with me. Kitties groom me, doggies kiss me. They know I love them like family 💞 I am also happy to take care of other species! My professional experience in other animal caregiving includes: Guinea pigs, gerbils, ferrets, parakeets, bunnies, 1 tortoise, hermit crabs, + a beta fish! Qualifications
Pets
Safety, trust & environment
In Your Home: Safety - If no A/C, when the cat is alone, windows will only be cracked open if there is a screen or the crack would have a height smaller than their head’s height (unless you state no cracked windows). Otherwise, I will additionally or alternatively implement fans, cooling mats, self-warming beds. I also pay attention to shades, blinds and curtains to make sure kitties have their comfortable 65-75 degrees F range + doggies their 68-70 range, at least when I am there with them. - Their water will be refreshed every day. - New/cleaned water dishes every other day. - New/cleaned wet food dishes every day. - New/cleaned dry food dishes every day. - Doggos will be let out every 4-8 hours, 2-3+ walks/outings (depending on your preference/usual schedule). - I will monitor that dogs pee 3x a day + poop within 2 days. - I will monitor that cats pee within 1 day + poop within 3. - If cats have outdoor access, we will not go out under 46 degrees temp/feel or over 75 degrees temp/feel. - Dogs and cats will not be off-leash. I can let them off-leash upon request by you, if there is an enclosed space that would allow me to do so. - I can take cats on harness walks if you’d like. - I can also let cats in/on your screened porches/catios! Temperature protocols for doggo walks/outings: ⭐️ < 32 degrees: - < 30 lbs: 1 min for every 4 degrees F - 30-49 lbs: 1 min for every 2 degrees F - 50+ lbs: 1 min for every 1 degree F ⭐️ 32-45 | 20-30 mins (subject to dog’s comfort) ⭐️ 45 - 68 | 30 mins ⭐️ 68-80 | 20-30 mins (start limiting outside time at 75 for kitties) ⭐️ 80-93 | 15-20 mins ⭐️ 94+ | 5-15 mins (subject to dog’s comfort) Trust: - Kitties’ litter will be scooped 1-2x a day + monitored for maintenance of 2-4 inch fill level (or other requested depth). - I am familiar with + happy to use any Feliway sprays or replace old Feliway diffusers with new if they need replacing while you’re gone ❣️ - I let my new cat/dog/etc friend come to me first! I go at their pace. I will offer a finger for sniffs/boops + a hand for sniffs/bunts/pets. I like to sit down on the ground, so they feel less threatened + that I’m more approachable. Environment: - I like to make sure dogs/cats have a light source near their food, water and litter. Usually 1 light is sufficient. I know they have better night vision than us, but it is still easier for them with light, if you don’t mind me leaving one on. Can leave anything off upon request! - I also like to leave relaxing music on with or without muted cat TV OR cat tv with sound while I am gone for enrichment and potential anxiety reduction, especially if your home isn’t usually quiet as a mouse! But also will not do this upon request. - I like to set up what I call a “playground.” Set up enrichment around the home, so that they have stuff to do while I am gone! - Will also add ice cube(s) to water sometimes if their water intake has increased and/or the house temp is 73ish or higher. - I do not feel comfortable leaving cats and dogs alone with home temperatures above 75 F. I aim for a 68-70 thermostat for dogs and 65-75 for cats. If the dog is not panting with a temp set to 71-75 (and this is your preferred temp), then I feel okay leaving them alone, especially if I am allowed to leave them with access to plenty of water. Other: - My two professional dog and cat-sitting gigs while I was in undergrad (1 ongoing long-term and 1 intermittent) had very specific instructions which I followed. I am a very meticulous person, and I just want what is best for the cat, dog or other species. With my meticulousness, comes great attention. When I am taking care of some one, I will always be focusing on them, undistracted and considering how they are doing and feeling and what they want and need. - I don't get bothered by meowing or other vocalization, as I know it is just communication for needing or wanting something that only I can give them (food, going into a room with a closed door etc) or them wanting attention - which I am happy to give. - I am open to taking care of other nonhuman animals too if needed. This would generally be $13-$37/day, varying with the difficulty or time required for the care. I have taken care of: Guinea pigs, gerbils, bunnies, a tortoise parakeets, hermit crabs, and ferrets. I've lived with a mouse. - I also have babysat a 6 year old humxn. I am open to being a care companion as well. - I like to give the nonhumxn person as much autonomy as permittable by their humxn + is reasonable. I love letting them choose where to walk + explore + let them stop + smell the flowers all they want :-) In My Home: - Same as protocols listed above! I can only board 1-2 cats at a time, as my building does not allow other species.
Ratings and reviews
She always takes good care of our sweet blind boy. We appreciate knowing he has her.

I couldn’t have left my baby in better hands — Megan went above and beyond to not just care for my cat’s daily medical needs but also to get to know my cat and I couldn’t be more appreciative. Squirrel has made a new best friend! Will definitely reach out to Megan the next time I’m heading out of town!!

Efraim’s automatic feeder was malfunctioning and Megan took the time to troubleshoot and make sure he was going to have food. She always takes great care of our boy!

As always, Megan took great care of our boy. We are so thankful to have found her. It makes leaving him a little easier.

I messed up and did not remember to contact Megan to watch our boy until my spouse asked me why she didn’t see a Rover appointment in the app. We were both about to be leaving the country for two different destinations for work and our boy needs heart meds daily. Luckily, Megan received my message and was able to accommodate a week of visits at very short notice. As usual, she was great with him and he had someone I’m pretty sure he understands cares about him stop by daily. Thank you, Megan for taking care of Efraim for us and on such short notice. I considered canceling my trip if you were unavailable.

Megan is amazing! She’s been walking my dog Gina regularly and recently stayed overnight while I was out of town. Gina can be a little sensitive and picky about who she bonds with, but she loves Megan—which honestly says everything. Megan is super reliable, communicative, and clearly loves what she does. She always goes the extra mile to make sure Gina feels comfortable and cared for. I got regular updates and came home to a happy, relaxed pup. It’s such a relief knowing someone I trust is looking after her. Highly recommend Megan to anyone looking for someone kind, dependable, and genuinely great with dogs. Just don’t steal her on the days I need her!
