Dogs have always been a huge passion of mine, and I’ve spent many years owning, working with and caring for them professionally. My experience began working as a Veterinary Care Assistant, where I gained valuable experience caring for dogs and understanding their health, wellbeing and individual needs. I’m now a professional dog groomer and home-from-home dog boarder, running my own business, Cosy Canines. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes and personalities, and I love getting to know each dog as an individual and making sure they feel safe, happy and comfortable in my care. I’m also about to begin a degree in Canine Behaviour and Training, as I’m passionate about continuing to learn more about dogs and developing my knowledge of their behaviour, communication and wellbeing. I’m canine first aid trained, licensed and insured, and I treat every dog in my care as one of my own. My aim is to provide a genuinely loving, relaxed home-from-home experience, while giving owners peace of mind that their dog is in safe and experienced hands. 🐾❤️

Megan looks after our 2 border collies Stan and Lennie when myself and my husband go away . Everytime we go away we know they are so well looked after, and Megan treats them as part of her family . Both our dogs love Megan and her little family , I cannot recommend Megan enough if you want to go away knowing your precious dog or dogs are going to be taken care of without any problems and you have such peace of mind which is so important.

Schedule
I work as a full-time dog groomer from my purpose-built grooming cabin in my garden, so I am home throughout the day and able to give dogs plenty of care, attention and supervision. My grooming schedule is flexible, allowing me to fit walks, playtime, toilet breaks and plenty of cuddles around my working day. Dogs staying with me are part of the family and have company throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are my top priority. I provide a calm, clean and secure home-from-home environment where dogs can settle in and feel part of the family. I have two friendly dogs of my own who are well socialised and used to having visiting dogs around. I also have two dog-savvy children who understand how to behave respectfully around dogs and their boundaries. All interactions are supervised, and I always make sure each dog has space and quiet time when they need it. With over 10 years of experience working with dogs, including my previous experience as a Veterinary Care Assistant and my current work as a professional dog groomer, I am confident recognising changes in behaviour and wellbeing and providing individual care based on each dog’s needs. I am also about to begin a degree in Canine Behaviour and Training, further developing my knowledge and understanding of dogs.
