A dog lover with a fenced in yard
I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember! I started taking care of neighbors, family members, and friends dogs as a teenager. I knew I needed a dog of my own, and adopted my best friend Ronan just after my 20th birthday. I then went on to marry a police k9 handler with the most beautiful (and giant!!) police k9. I have a ton of experience with dogs of all ages, including elderly and medically compromised. Unfortunately both of our dogs have crossed the rainbow bridge and we sure do miss having them around. I understand how hard it can be to find someone to care for your pet as if it is their own, and I would love to be that person for you! As a stay at home mom, I have the schedule to be able to give your furry friend the attention they need. I enjoy being active and going for walks. I know that not all animals are comfortable around children, so please note that we have an energetic two year old 😊 If you have any questions or would like additional information, don’t hesitate to ask!

If a drop in at your home is needed, I can coordinate leaving my daughter home with my husband if he is available that day.

Safety, trust & environment
My yard is fully fenced in with a locking gate to ensure the safety of your pet. I will communicate your preferences with you and definitely send tons of pictures! Update- I now require that the owner be comfortable with your pet being in a crate if for some reason I need to leave the house. I usually try to stay home the duration of the booking, but if the booking is longer, there may be times that I need to leave for short times. Thank you for understanding!
A typical day
Depending on your dog’s energy level/age, I can provide stimulating activities such as walks and fetch. I also have experience keeping elderly and arthritic dogs as active as they can tolerate, but understand that there are limits.
