Your Pet, My Priority 🐾
I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been caring for them since I was 12 years old. Growing up, I often looked after my neighbours’ cats, dogs, and rabbits while they were away - something i relished, as I wasn't allowed my own pet in the house (excluding fish, which i had many- i took what i could get!). Since moving out I have adopted several cats of my own and have continued to pet sit for friends regularly (both cats and dogs). They know they can always count on me if they need a sitter. :) Caring for animals has always felt like something that comes naturally to me; I love getting to know their individual personalities, routines, and little quirks. Most recently, I have cared, on multiple occasions, for three elderly and sick cats. Each has different health needs, medications, and eating schedules, so I made sure to carefully follow their routines and give each one the attention and care they needed. I also provided regular updates to assuage any understandable fears that the parents had. I’m reliable, responsible, and very attentive, and I understand how much trust goes into leaving your pets in someone else’s care. My goal is always to make your pets feel comfortable and loved while you’re away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands.

Megan was absolutely wonderful with my 5-year-old Pomeranian, Penny! She was incredibly attentive to Penny’s individual needs and made sure to follow all of the instructions I provided. What really stood out to me was how thoughtful and communicative she was. She sent me a couple of updates every day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was also clear that Megan genuinely cared about Penny and wasn’t just checking the boxes. She made sure Penny got lots of extra love, attention, and cuddles, and I could tell she was very happy and comfortable in Megan’s care. If you’re looking for someone you can truly trust with your pet, I couldn’t recommend Megan more. She is caring, responsible, attentive, and clearly loves animals. Penny would happily stay with her again! ❤️
Without hesitation, Megan is the first person I would trust to take care of my cat whenever I’m away. I’ve known her for 7 years, and the level of care, attention, and love she gives to my cat, Bobo, is truly above and beyond. Siamese cats can definitely be a handful and sometimes a little messy, but Megan is always so patient and attentive with Bobo. She goes the extra mile to make sure he’s happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I also always come home to my place looking spotless, which is such a huge bonus! Megan is responsible, caring, trustworthy, and someone I have complete peace of mind leaving Bobo with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like their own.
Megan has looked after my 3 senior cats many times. All cats are on different diets and have special needs, including asthma. Megan once spent a week with my cats when I had to be out of the country. A week before I was set to leave, two of my cats stopped eating and were very ill. It was an extremely stressful time and I don’t think I could have got through it without Megan. She was extremely attentive to their needs, offered food frequently throughout the day, monitored their food intake, sent me pictures and updates every day, picked up cat food, the list goes on. No matter what change or health update I sent Megan in the week before my trip, she showed no hesitation and was a steady hand in a nightmare situation. I came back to happy cats that had actually put on some weight. I cannot recommend her enough!

Schedule
I recently moved from Vancouver Island back to my home city of Ottawa and am currently unencumbered by a full-time job. I am available 24/7 for attentive pet care, ranging from walks, feeding and check-ins, to multiple night stays.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for your pet in their own home, I want them to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible by keeping their usual routine and giving them plenty of love and attention. I’m happy to take care of their everyday needs, including feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter or bathroom breaks, and administering medications when needed. I’ll take the time to follow any specific instructions you leave me and pay close attention to your pet’s behaviour, making sure they are happy, comfortable, and safe throughout my visit. I also understand that every pet is different, so I’ll adapt to their personality and needs; whether they’re playful and energetic, shy and cautious, or simply looking for some extra companionship.
A typical day
For me, the best part of pet sitting is getting to know each animal and finding the activities they genuinely enjoy. I’ll tailor playtime and activities to each pet’s personality, age, and energy level. Whether that means going for enjoyable walks and exploring new smells, playing with their favourite toys, practising simple tricks, having a game of fetch, or simply spending quality time together with lots of cuddles and attention. I’m also happy to keep things relaxed for older or lower-energy pets, giving them gentle playtime and companionship at their own pace. Most importantly, I’ll make sure every activity is safe, comfortable, and something your pet looks forward to!

- Before caring for your pet, I’d love to know about their personality, routine, and any special needs so I can make them feel as comfortable and happy as possible while you’re away. It’s helpful to know their usual feeding and walking schedule, favourite activities and toys, how they get along with people or other animals, and anything that makes them nervous or uncomfortable. I’d also want to know about any medications, health concerns, allergies, or specific care instructions. Every pet is different, and the more I know about them beforehand, the better I can provide personalized, attentive care and make sure they feel safe and at ease in my care.
