Pet care is a natural part of my daily life and routine, not an add-on. My days are structured around consistent feeding times, potty breaks, walks, play, and enrichment, allowing me to give pets the attention and supervision they deserve. I work from home so I am available to provide constant companionship and flexibility for pets who need extra care or reassurance. Throughout the week, I prioritize maintaining each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. Whether that means specific walk times, medication schedules, training consistency, or quiet downtime. I plan my schedule around the pets in my care so they feel secure, comfortable, and well-loved while their families are away.

Safety, trust & environment

When pets stay in my home for daycare or boarding, I provide a calm, safe, and structured environment where they are treated like part of our family. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and rest. Dogs receive supervised play, enrichment activities, and plenty of one on one attention. I carefully manage group interactions based on size, age, energy level, and personality to ensure all pets feel comfortable and secure. Rest time is just as important as play, and pets are given quiet spaces to relax when needed. I keep a clean, pet safe home and prioritize safety at all times. Pets are never left unsupervised in situations that could put them at risk. I provide regular updates, photos, and communication so pet parents can feel confident and connected while their pets are in my care.

Information Megan E. would like to know about your pet

To provide the best and safest care possible, I like to learn as much as I can about your pet before their stay. Helpful information includes: * Your pet’s daily routine * Feeding schedule and portion size * Temperament with other dogs and cats * Walk preferences and energy level * Commands they know or are currently working on * Medical needs such as medications, allergies, or mobility concerns * Any anxiety triggers, fears, or behavioral quirks * How often they need potty breaks * Whether they are territorial over toys or food * If they experience separation anxiety * Where they typically relax or spend time when you run errands * If it is ok to post photos of them on my business social media accounts I also appreciate knowing how your pet interacts with other pets, people, and new environments so I can ensure a comfortable and stress free experience. Details about crate use, sleep arrangements, favorite toys, and comfort items are always welcome. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can tailor care to your pet’s individual needs and help them feel safe, happy, and at home.

A typical day

A typical day in my care is a balance of fun, structure, and relaxation. We start the day with morning potty breaks, breakfast, medications/supplements (if needed), and some calm time to ease into the day. Depending on each pet’s energy level, mornings may include a walk, backyard time, or interactive play. Throughout the day, pets enjoy a mix of supervised play, enrichment activities (such as puzzle toys, sniff games, and basic training reinforcement), and plenty of one on one attention. I tailor activities to each pet’s personality. High energy pups get extra play and movement. While seniors or more relaxed dogs enjoy gentle walks, cuddles, and quiet companionship. The afternoon includes numerous potty breaks, more play/enrichment, and rest time. In the evening, we wind down with dinner, relaxed walks, or cozy downtime depending on weather and individual needs. Pets are never rushed and always given the space they need to feel comfortable, happy, and at home.

Pet care experience

Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness always come first in my care. I am Pet First Aid and CPR certified through American Red Cross, so I’m prepared to respond calmly and correctly in the event of an emergency. In addition to the Rover Guarantee, I also carry a private pet sitting insurance, providing an extra layer of protection and peace of mind for pet parents. I treat every pet as if they are my own. Paying close attention to routines, personalities, and individual needs. Whether your pet needs extra patience, structure, or just a lot of love, you can trust they’ll be cared for in a safe, responsible, and attentive environment. I’m also happy to provide additional references that go beyond the reviews on Rover.

This is my third time with Megan for dog sitting, and I would definitely leave my pup with her again in the future. My pup clearly has a positive experience with her and her dogs/cats — she always comes home energized and happy. Thank you Megan for your thoughtful care!

Megan was great! She is very professional, is clearly comfortable with dogs, and has thoughtfully created a safe place for dogs to hang out when they are with her. I felt very comfortable leaving my furry friend with her, and would definitely work with her again. Thank you!
