Sniffs, Strolls & Photo Updates
Dogs have been part of my life since childhood. I grew up with golden retrievers, so big, happy, shedding dogs feel like home to me. Today I'm mom to Birdie, a Great Pyrenees, so I'm very comfortable handling big, strong, fluffy dogs (and vacuuming up after them). Her best friend Benson, a black lab from a few streets over, boards with us when his parents go on vacation, so I know how to manage two dogs under one roof. Over the years I've also cared for friends' dogs while they traveled. Before this, I co-owned a wedding photography business for 15 years, which taught me reliability, clear communication, and staying calm when things get chaotic. Every visit includes photo updates, so you'll never wonder how your pup is doing.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet's safety is my top priority. I don't have a fenced yard, so every dog stays on a leash at all times, whether we're out on a walk or taking a quick bathroom break. There are no off-leash adventures and no chances taken, which means no escape artists. I keep a close eye on body language, watch for wildlife and other dogs on our routes, and stick to well-known local paths. Doors, gates, and leashes get double-checked every time. I'll follow your pet's routine, diet, and any special instructions to the letter, and I'll keep you updated with photos so you always know how they're doing.
Ratings and reviews
I can’t recommend Megan enough! I’ve trusted her multiple times to stay in my home and care for my young children and dogs while I was out of the country. Knowing my home, children, and pets were in such caring and trustworthy hands gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Megan is responsible, dependable, and has such a genuine love for both children and animals. It’s not easy to find someone you feel completely comfortable trusting with your home and the people and pets you love most, but Megan is that person. I’m so grateful to have someone I can count on time and time again!
Megan is hands down the best pet sitter we've ever hired. She has cared for our fur baby through several vacations, and every time we've come home to a happy pup and a well-tended house. She is reliable, loving, and treats our home and our dog as if they were her own. She sent pictures throughout the day, which eased my anxiety and warmed my heart. My pup adores her and gets so excited whenever she arrives. Her calm, poised, and professional manner will put even the most nervous fur parent at ease. Look no further. Your home and your pet are safe with Megan.
Megan was amazing! I can't say enough good things about Megan. I was away on vacation and she took wonderful care of my cat Oliver. She was reliable, communicative and I got updates throughout my trip, which gave me total peace of mind. Megan is attentive, caring, and trustworthy. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter they can count on. Thank you, Megan!
Look no further, seriously! Megan has catsat for me multiple times and she is absolute gold. She's super reliable, completely trustworthy and has that great, easygoing energy that animals love. Whenever I get home, my cats are clearly happy and well-cared for. Book her already!
My 90 pound black Labrador retriever, Benson was raised to become a wheelchair assisted service dog. After 14 months of training, he was furloughed out of the program because he did not transition well into end use training. His transition into being a pet has taken time to achieve. Because Benson is used to one-on-one attention, previous attempts to leave him with a dog sitter ended poorly. That is until we found Megan D. Her attention to details and her ability to treat Benson like her own dog was evident when we came to pick Benson up after an eight day vacation. Benson easily could’ve stayed another eight days. I highly recommend Megan D.

Schedule
Pets are at the center of my daily life. I'm currently taking a break from office work, so my schedule is wide open. That means I'm available for midday walks, flexible drop-ins, and last-minute requests. My days revolve around long walks with Birdie, time in my garden, and keeping the pets in my care happy, fed, and well-exercised.

- Birdie doesn’t have special needs, but she does have two speeds. Most of the time she's slow, sweet, and deeply relaxed, a big fluffy loaf who loves affection and takes her naps very seriously. Her other speed is pure Great Pyrenees guardian. If she decides something is a threat (a coyote, a box truck, or occasionally a suspicious leaf), she can switch quickly into alert, reactive mode. I always stay aware of her surroundings on walks so I'm ready for that shift and can keep everyone calm and safe.
