Pet care experience
Mom to two chatty dachshunds
I’ve been around dogs pretty much my whole life, whether it was my standard poodle as a young kid, my mini poodle as a teenager or, more recently, the senior dogs I’ve fostered or adopted from Muttville. Dogs have always been in good hands with me. Right now my wife and I have two dachshund chihuahua mixes we adopted at five and six. Our home is a dog home. They’re on the couch, on the bed and even under the covers (if they want to burrow). They’re in the mix and they’re loved. If your dog has medications, I’ve got it. If they have special needs or they’re older and need a slower pace, I have ample experience with that.

Ratings and reviews
Megan is a dog lover and enthusiast through and through. I know this because of the way she interacts with my 5-year-old Tasmanian devil. He is exuberant and overly excited, and she meets him with calm and reassuring energy. She understands how to greet an overly excited dog and responds with patience, giving my crazy boy the grace to regulate his own emotions. Megan has helped me for years when I’m in a tight spot. She will come and pick my boy up, take him out, and help him burn off all of his energy. She is great with him on a leash and will often work on his excited reactivity with other dogs using positive reinforcement techniques. And most of all, she brings that patience, which is so key to meeting a dog where they are at. I would be remiss not to mention that dogs absolutely love her. She’s got a good soul and a kind heart, and I believe the dogs can see that. They are attracted to her like a moth to a flame to get her sweet love!
Megan loves animals so much and I always feel good leaving my pup with her and her partner. She is so caring, conscientious, and loving, and our dog is so happy staying at her home. Don't hesitate to book with Megan!
Megan (my wife) has so much genuine love and care for dogs, and they seem to be strangely drawn to her as well. It’s as if they can sense that she will give them a caring scritch behind the ears, or spring into a playful stance, ready to send them off running. When Megan and I met, she was eager to introduce me to her family dog Donny, who always excitedly came to the door of her childhood home to greet her. Shortly after moving in together, we foster fail adopted a 13-year-old MaltiPoo named Frosting, who we quickly learned was highly reactive to other dogs and some people. Despite those challenges, Megan loved Frosting deeply and through steady positive reinforcement and mindfulness of trigger stacking, we began to introduce Frosting to Donny. He became her one and only canine friend. Both have since passed in their old age, but they remain honored in our home. Since then, Megan has fostered more senior dogs, and we have adopted two dachshund mixes with very different personalities. Megan attends to each of them in the way need. Megan’s joy from caring for, comforting, cuddling, walking, and playing with dogs is clear as day.

Schedule
I’m currently dedicating my time to taking care of pups, so your pup will have my undivided attention throughout the days and evenings. The max amount of time I’d leave your dog alone would be for four hours. I have two dogs of my own that I would keep separate from your dog to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.
