Life long animal lover!
I have had pets of my own all of my life and I have spent more than half my life helping others take care of their pets as well. I have many years of experience house/pet sitting, where I have taken care of dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and other animals for days, overnight stays, and even weeks at a time. I have also worked in a pet store as well as on a ranch where I tended to our resident ranch animals including burros, chickens, and goats. I have a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes and I am so excited about using some of my free time to help take care of your pets! I have worked all over California, Chicago, and am currently located in Longmont, Colorado.

This is my fourth? fifth? time using Megan to kitty sit my old boy and we couldn't be happier. Nimbus and I love how warm and kind she is and we feel very safe in her hands when I am away.
Megan is as always incredible with Mr. Bones! She's super responsive and gives him so much love and care, I know that he's well taken care of in her hands when I'm away!
Megan took wonderful care of Tiger and Lily! She was attentive and stayed with our kitties to make sure they ate their food and handled their medication. Megan gave them lots of love and head scritches. We highly recommend Megan for anyone looking for a caring and diligent pet sitter!
Megan did a wonderful job taking care of my Nimbus kitty again! My cat had some health issues shortly before my trip and she really put my mind at ease knowing he was in good hands. She actually gets a 10 out of 5 stars :)
Megan was fabulous with our dog Kaipo! Our pup is currently undergoing treatments for heartworm and Megan did a fantastic job caring for our pup under exercise restrictions but she also updated us frequently and sent so many photos to know our pup was doing okay. She truly loves animals and it made me as an owner feel so good to know that my dog was in such loving and careful hands. Would highly recommend booking with Megan!

Schedule
I am new to Longmont and am looking for full time work, but until that happens I will have open availability most weekdays and weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
I live with my husband of 11 years, who is also a lifelong animal lover. We have two female, two-year-old miniature dachshunds and two bunnies who live in an indoor fenced-in enclosure in their own room (with a door that closes). Our bunnies have lived with dogs all their lives and have been exposed to many visiting dogs as well. We have never had an issue, so long as the dogs are sweet and gentle. Dogs will never be left alone with access to our rabbits. We always have a meet and greet before we commit to having outside pets stay with us to make sure it is a good fit for our pet guests and all residents of our home. We have a spacious home and fenced in yard perfect for lounging and playing.
Pets
A typical day
I love spending time with dogs, both indoors and outdoors. We can play fetch and chase in the yard and go for lovely walks around the neighborhood. We live very close to parks and green spaces, perfect for long walks and play sessions. After lots of playtime, I also enjoy snuggling up on the couch with a dog in my lap and a good book or a movie.
