Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day rather than only before or after work hours. I’m able to plan my day around feeding times, walks, playtime, medication schedules, and check-ins, and I enjoy building those moments into my routine. Because I’m home most of the time, pets aren’t left alone for long stretches and can stick to a familiar, low-stress schedule. I make sure each pet gets both companionship and quiet downtime, depending on their needs.

Helpful things to know include your pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, favorite activities, and any quirks or preferences that make them unique. It’s also important to know about: Medical needs, medications, or health concerns Behavioral traits (shy, reactive, anxious, playful, etc.) How your pet does with new people, other animals, or being alone Any triggers, fears, or things to avoid Emergency vet information and preferred contacts The more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I’m always happy to do a meet & greet to make sure we’re a great fit and to go over any details in person.
A typical day
I like to tailor activities to each pet’s personality, energy level, and comfort zone. Some pets love playtime and interaction, while others are happiest with calm companionship, and I make sure both are part of their day. For dogs, this can include walks suited to their energy level, interactive play, basic enrichment games, and plenty of one-on-one attention. For cats, fun might look like wand toys, laser play, puzzle feeders, window watching, brushing sessions, or simply relaxed hangout time for pets who prefer a quieter vibe.
