Information Megan B. would like to know about your pet
What are they like around children? Do they like to be pet by strangers? How are they around other dogs? Is there any quirks that your dog has that I need to know? Any rules I need to know (like getting off of the furniture)? Are they crate/kennel trained?
A typical day
A typical day for me is waking up and walking my pup first thing! After making sure your pup is walked, they are fed- just like the way you would prepare it. The animals always come first! I always carry treats, toys, and extra leashes on me just in case! I always make sure a dog is mentally ready for a walk, calm at the door, and then we go! On walks, if the pup wants to, we spend some time training, playing, and sniffing. This ensures your pup is tired mentally and physically! Then, we relax and do whatever your pup wants, until its time to walk again!

Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Megan and I am passionate about all animals. I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2024 with an Animal Science degree (concentration in Pre-Veterinary and a minor in Business). With this, I have an extensive knowledge about animal behavior, anatomy, and health. For the past two years, I was a manager at a dog boarding facility in Granbury, TX. During my time there, I worked with upwards of 200 dogs a day, ensuring each dog got their individual meal, medicine, and TLC. I also facilitated doggy play groups of 40+ pups! I even assisted in the overnight care, so you know you can trust your pup with me! Before working in dog boarding, I worked at a shelter, helping shelter animals get their forever homes. During that time, I became proficient in dictating behavior, illnesses, training, and more. I have medicated, vaccinated, and treated dogs and cats. I have even helped some poor geckos remove stuck sheds. While at the shelter, I became Fear Free Shelter certified, so you can be assured that with me, your pet will have a stress-free vacation while your family is away. I am also an officer/lead kitten foster for a club that offers TNRs (trap, neuter, release) for feral cats in the Stephenville area. With this, I am the main foster that helps provide bottle kittens an experienced hand. I have helped neonatal kittens potty, stay warm, and go from milk in a syringe to happily slurping up wet food. I have experience with almost all animals, including special needs pets, senior pets, bottle babies, and even some wildlife- mainly bottle-fed baby skunks! I am trained to give animals a stress-free environment. I can work with animals of all behaviors, and give them space if needed or cuddle if desired. I love to go above and beyond and make sure animals are walked, played with, have enrichment, are brushed or bathed, and are mentally tired and ready for their families to come back! I am currently working full-time at a dog boarding facility, however, I am willing to be flexible with you and your critters. Just communicate with me and we can work things out!

Megan is great. Very kind and patient. Did wonderful with our shy/nervous boy.

Thank you so much for feeding Scottie and helping us out!

So reliable and kind. My dog loves when Megan comes over and she even does training tricks with him. I’ll continue to book her whenever I can!

Thanks for a great end of year!!
