Safety, trust & environment
When caring for your pet in your home, it is based on your guidelines that you provide me and safety. This means that I will follow whatever rules you have in place, but will also make sure that your animal is safe and happy above all else. In regards to dogs, I can also work on any training goals you may have while they are in my care for an additional fee.
Information Megan B. would like to know about your pet
It's important for me to know any allergies or behavior issues your dog may have (reactivity/sensitivities to touch/resource guarding/etc.). I would also like to know any games they particularly enjoy playing or any rules you have for them. Lastly, does your dog know any verbal or nonverbal commands?
A typical day
I love going on hikes and enjoy letting dogs be dogs on said hikes. As a dog trainer, I enjoy training so I can work on any goals that you may have with your dog. Mental enrichment is just as important to me as physical enrichment, so there will be playing but also brain games!

Pet care experience
I've always had animals growing up that I was responsible for - rabbits, cats, dogs and fish! Currently, I have a cat and two dogs of my own. Professionally, I've worked at Dogtopia and Schulhof Animal Hospital where I learned how to take care of many different breeds and temperaments (solo and in groups), preparing different meals, administering different medications and bathing dogs of all lengths of hair. I am now a certified dog trainer with my own business, Thunder Dog Training. I graduated with distinction from CATCH University in their Master's course and I'm a mentee of Jonas Black who is one of the best trainers in the business.

Reviews
Megan loves animals and that shows when she interacts with our dog Butters. She is knowledgeable about dogs, is reliable (shows up on time), and a good communicator. Thanks Megan.
Megan looked after my 15yo blind and deaf dog for 5 days and I was confident that all was well while I was away. She was always in contact, and I really appreciated her flexibility with scheduling when we needed to return sooner than expected. I would definitely book her again!
You won’t find a more knowledgeable, more responsible person to take care of your dogs than Megan B. She took care of our Huskimo, Posie, and Pomeranian, Lola, for two weeks in our home and it couldn’t have gone better. The dogs were really sorry to see her leave. Bottom line, we highly recommend Megan and can’t wait to have her over again!
